Methotrexate not working & now chronic neck pain
I explained that my wrist pain is secondary now, and that my neck bothers me 24/7, even with maximum
NSAIDs
, but they just keep saying that it's 'wear and tear' due to my age. I'm 49 and was cycling 130 miles in a day just over a year ago with NO pain.

Methotrexate FDA warning.
These also include use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (
NSAIDs
). These medications raise your risk of problems with your stomach, bowel, or bone marrow. These problems can be fatal (cause death). Examples of
NSAIDs
include ibuprofen and naproxen.

Looking for answers
I also have an autoimmune disease that keeps me from being able to take any type of hormone medication as well as
NSAIDs
like Motrin and naproxen. I seriously want a hysterectomy, but because of my age my GYN won’t do it. Is there anything I can do to alleviate the pain and swelling?

What do you take for these other than
nsaids
. Also, I’ve heard caffeine and cheese can bring these on. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks for any info!

Good CA125 result again
More info is coming out regularly re aspirin and ibuprofen/other
NSAIDs
as agents against cancer. See my last post a few days ago. It seems oncologists are willing these days to recommend or agree to use of aspirin in particular, 75mg once daily to try to prevent cancer recurrence.

Paracetamol does not work
For myself I found
NSAIDS
to be far more effective against inflammatory pain. Even opiates make almost no difference to me when I am feeling RA pain. Diclofenic works a treat, but that is also really, really bad for you.

Holistic anti-inflammatory ideas
I’m unable to take
nsaids
d/t stomach ulcers from them and basically love on Tylenol which doesn’t help during a flare as you all know. My only hope for pain control for now is disease control which is touch and go at best. Thanks in advance for your input!😍

Failed Coiling/Web
I am allergic to aspirin and other
nsaids
, so the WEB device was favoured as no on going blood thinners are needed. Cut to op- the WEB device was inserted and had to be removed after half an hour as clots had formed and the dr was concerned about stroke.

I can't take
NSAIDs
due to Dr. orders. But, would like to hear of others' experience with this shot and have an idea what to expect - how long do side effects last, anything that helps alleviate, etc. Thank you!!

Treatment options -pros and cons
My love affair with MTX is rapidly decreasing but of the other options I can’t take
NSAIDs
after a stomach bleed on both voltarol and arthrotec (the 5 days on arthrotec before we had to stop I felt awesome though but that was long before I was this bad) and we’ve tried plaquenil, azathioprine, mepacrine

Ever hear of costochondritis?
I can’t take
nsaids
so he increased my prednisone which I was weaning off of to two pills to decrease the inflammation. It helped. Feeling fine today. But I’m wondering if any of you had something similar and had a prognosis of costochondritis?

Knee replacement and PMR
My main concern is about the use of pred during surgery and the recovery process (will the dose need to go up, what about additional swelling and inflammation - will they prescribe
NSAIDs
, will surgery trigger a flare??).

I'm back on naproxen for the pain and not on constant omeprazole to relieve the symptoms of gastritis caused by too many
NSAIDS
over the years. I don't have a question I just need to vent. Will it ever get better!

Beyond scared please help!! HIV tests
Hello I’m going to get right to the point. After a possible exposure to HIV I was tested multiples times. This is my story and I’m going to be as specific as I can be. So the exact day was October 12, but I know for sure that the sexual activity was in the am so it was passed 12am making it October 13th

Has anyone had a flare following the FluAD vaccine?
I have been drug-free for several years now apart from the odd course of
NSAIDs
and don't want to have to take anything stronger!!! Many thanks for any thoughts or experiences you may be able to share :)

What does remission mean (to you?)
I've been on
NSAIDS
, steroids, DMARDS, failed, so now also on benepali. Being on so many meds has made me think about whether any of these will eventually work and how that will look. I'm just curious about what the outcome has been for you all in general.

5-LOX & Stemness.
While
NSAIDs
target the COX enzymes, they are not effective against 5-LOX. I have used 5-LOXIN for about a dozen years.
