Shingrix Vaccine - Experience of Others...?
I can't take
NSAIDs
due to Dr. orders. But, would like to hear of others' experience with this shot and have an idea what to expect - how long do side effects last, anything that helps alleviate, etc. Thank you!!

Treatment options -pros and cons
My love affair with MTX is rapidly decreasing but of the other options I can’t take
NSAIDs
after a stomach bleed on both voltarol and arthrotec (the 5 days on arthrotec before we had to stop I felt awesome though but that was long before I was this bad) and we’ve tried plaquenil, azathioprine, mepacrine

Ever hear of costochondritis?
I can’t take
nsaids
so he increased my prednisone which I was weaning off of to two pills to decrease the inflammation. It helped. Feeling fine today. But I’m wondering if any of you had something similar and had a prognosis of costochondritis?

Knee replacement and PMR
My main concern is about the use of pred during surgery and the recovery process (will the dose need to go up, what about additional swelling and inflammation - will they prescribe
NSAIDs
, will surgery trigger a flare??).

Lap 3 on the horizon
I'm back on naproxen for the pain and not on constant omeprazole to relieve the symptoms of gastritis caused by too many
NSAIDS
over the years. I don't have a question I just need to vent. Will it ever get better!

Beyond scared please help!! HIV tests
Hello I’m going to get right to the point. After a possible exposure to HIV I was tested multiples times. This is my story and I’m going to be as specific as I can be. So the exact day was October 12, but I know for sure that the sexual activity was in the am so it was passed 12am making it October 13th

Has anyone had a flare following the FluAD vaccine?
I have been drug-free for several years now apart from the odd course of
NSAIDs
and don't want to have to take anything stronger!!! Many thanks for any thoughts or experiences you may be able to share :)

What does remission mean (to you?)
I've been on
NSAIDS
, steroids, DMARDS, failed, so now also on benepali. Being on so many meds has made me think about whether any of these will eventually work and how that will look. I'm just curious about what the outcome has been for you all in general.

5-LOX & Stemness.
While
NSAIDs
target the COX enzymes, they are not effective against 5-LOX. I have used 5-LOXIN for about a dozen years.

Use of ibuprofen and risk of Parkinson disease
Use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) in general, and possibly ibuprofen in particular, has been shown to be related to lower PD risk in previous epidemiologic studies. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/21368281/

RA, Gluten and Leaky Gut
NSAIDs
cause damage in the gut, as well as maybe containing the one thing I need to avoid.. and if I have leaky gut, then all this gluten is getting in my blood stream! I just need some solid advice to ask/request from my GP, otherwise they could just turn me down..

Salicylate Intolerance Causing My (or Your!) RLS?
The allergic reaction was caused by Voltarol gel - something I had been absolutely ASSURED by a doctor wouldn't give me problems after I told her I was sensitive to
NSAIDS
. I used it twice and - disaster! BIG time allergic reaction (you have to wonder at doctors’ training sometimes).

Managing Symptoms and Experiences
He often complains that his back hurts, but because of the advanced stage of his kidney disease,
NSAIDS
are not an option. I usually offer him comfort and a soft back rub to help ease his pain. Voiding again sometimes helps.

What pain killers can I use after HA and stents
Had heart attack and 4 stents, now allowed NO
NSAIDs
. Quality of life is suffering more with the pain than the HA. Diclofenec was the most successful of the anti inflammatory s but I have been told Naproxen is the best for cardiac px's.

Nephrologist Visit Today - Not Good
I went to the nephrologist and I do not know a thing. He would not comment about my prognosis until he receives results of my US's and labs. I showed him my US report from 2014 where it showed cortical thinning. He did say my kidneys are shrinking, although the report did not reveal the size. I asked

Results of endscophy for acid reflux
(Retest from last year) Advise to go back to Doctors to discuss results and suspected erosions are related to the
NSaids
taken. I have taken streriods in last march/April that gave me acid reflux. Treatment was successful.
