Please learn the facts about HIV - it is easy to listen to people and believe them but if you find an official website with facts or speak to an expert it will educate you.
Too often we are misinformed, which leads to fear and anguish.
HIV is officially on the decrease- according to UK government statistics- but the people living with the condition haven’t gone away. We can expect to live to full life expectancy (with health care input) and are lucky to have the services to facilitate this.
If you are looking on this HealthUnlocked page to ask if you may have HIV then you’re asking the wrong questions to the wrong people.
Often I think about my life and living with HIV. 15 years since my diagnosis and the world doesn’t seem to have stopped, despite me feeling like I wanted it to.
World AIDS Day is to remember all those in the past, the present and to help those in the future. The present involves better support and treatment, the future includes prevention and reducing the risks.

Getting an HIV test and diagnosis is a huge issue for some people , and coming here they can obtain good advice without the distress of actually having to face anyone .
The advice will always be to get tested if there is any doubt .
Hi Griffon, my comment is helpful and suggests that people would be less distressed if they seek a professional opinion on their ailments and a test if they are worried.

My comment is the same as every response given to folks on here... if you’re unsure then get tested. There is no mention of don’t ask questions on this page!!
