New to this part of Health Unlocked, general advice please?
Was diagnosed SLE Oct 2019, Raynaud's phenomena confirmed, migraines, PPPD, chronic/permanent leukopenia and
neutropenia
. Had both flu and pneumovax jabs last Nov. Have no access to rheumatology (mainly political reasons due to devolved NHS). SLE is active and completely untreated.

PARP Inhibitors for Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate CancerInterview with Oliver Sartor MD
Other elements of myelosuppression, potentially, such as
neutropenia
and thrombocytopenia, are also present but relatively unusual. There can also be GI side effects. GI side effects include nausea; rarely, vomiting; and potentially, changes in appetite.

experience w/neutropenia?!
hey all- my husband is dealing w/
neutropenia
. he takes casodex & tamoxifen daily. have any of you experienced this before? hematologist thinks it may be related to the tamoxifen, but isn't sure. worried about him being even more immunocompromised right now.

Thyroidectomy/Buying T3 in Turkey
I’m currently in hospital in Turkey awaiting a thyroidectomy due to carbimazole induced
neutropenia
. I’m taking Lugol’s iodine to bring my levels down, and as soon as it’s safe to do so I’ll be having surgery.

Morning all, Pape wants breakfast at the table this morning
I have AI
neutropenia
too which means that I have little ability to fight the virus initially ... But on a brighter note, the ducks are performing this morning, Bianco is still on her nest which happens to be next to the house so that I can keep an eye on her... stay well all and stay in!

Thyroidectomy tomorrow... Any positive experiences?
In my case ATD give me severe
neutropenia
, so I have no choice but to remove my thyroid. It’s either that, or carry on with 0 neutrophils and risk dying from a common cold (not to mention the highly contagious and deadly virus going around at the moment).

Response to post on how to increase Ferritin Levels
I am on an Iron Chelation Drug for which I need weekly blood tests to ensure I don’t have SEPSIS, Angrsnulosis or
Neutropenia
. The problems will follow if instead of removing iron deposits from my Central Nervous System the iron and Ferritin are removed from my body.

Recurrent neutropenia causes
I have recurrent
neutropenia
. My doctor has eliminated any vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and any medications that potentially cause
neutropenia
. I have a hematology appointment in 2 days. What do I need to ask about? Thanks.

Veru Initiates Phase 2 Clinical Trial of VERU-111, First-in-Class, Oral, Advanced Prostate Cancer Drug
At oral doses that had significant antitumor effects, VERU-111 had a favorable safety profile as it did not cause
neutropenia
or myelosuppression, common dose limiting side effects of other classes of commercially available antitubulins such as intravenous taxanes or intravenous vinca alkaloids.

Is a letter for employer required?
My Dad has
neutropenia
and his consultant said under no circumstances should I be out the house. Basically does anyone know what I’m required to give to my employer to prove this?

Agranulocytosis
You may also see the term '
neutropenia
', Although it's very rare, carbimazole is one of the drugs that can cause agranulocytosis, and it's serious enough that you should have been warned about it by whoever gave you the prescription (was this an endo ?)

I just want to say...
I know this due to my health history and my decades long
neutropenia
and extremely low complement 3and 4, and deteriorating SLE lupus ie worsening inflammation and constant flaring, plus heart issues and serious health issue on top of that last year I am monitored for.

Feeling scared
I’m worried sick, Dad is in his 70s and has
neutropenia
, I’ve just lost Mum and can’t bare the thought of losing him too. I’m also worried that he’s brought the virus into the house and what it means for me.

TB call from ENT
So, here I am working remotely on an ADA (Americans with Disabilities) accommodation for recurrent
neutropenia
putting me at risk from the coronavirus and I get a call from the ENT who did my sinus surgery two weeks ago (I’ve had a sinus infection since November). He says “Hi, Glenn?
