So, here I am working remotely on an ADA (Americans with Disabilities) accommodation for recurrent neutropenia putting me at risk from the coronavirus and I get a call from the ENT who did my sinus surgery two weeks ago (I’ve had a sinus infection since November). He says “Hi, Glenn? Are you in any pain right now?” A little weird, right? He’s a great doc, BTW, so I’m not criticizing him in he slightest. Tells me they found a strain of mycobacteria that’s a little disconcerting to them so they’ve sent it on for further testing for...drum roll...TB.
On the plus side, he called my CLL doc and they agreed there’s no crisis, particularly since I now feel better than I have in four months.
Now, I’m waiting, though, to see what that test result is. CLL and TB when the coronavirus is also floating around? Nice knowing you all! I’m pretty well isolated though. Working from home, ordering my groceries through delivery. Waiting to see what happens next, I guess. Probably nothing.

Glenn, we all know what it’s like waiting on test results. The fact you are feeling well would seem to suggest your tests will come out fine. Sounds like you have a good plan to wait out the virus. Good luck on your test results. Jeff
Thanks, my friend, for that reassurance. Yes, we do all know the waiting game. So be it. I’m going to a football field this morning to practice my disc golf drives. Gotta live!!!
Oh you didn’t need that Glenn but sounds like you’ve got a sound strategy in place to self isolate and keep safe. It’s psychologically hard to isolate too.
It’s a scary enough time for us CLL’ers but I’ve also got other issues to throw into the pot so understand your concerns.
Thanks. I'm making the best of things. Starting up a couple of YouTube channels. Learning a lot. Being stuck in a room isn't the worst thing in the world. You stay safe, too!
