Questions for endocrinologist
- Although
neutropenia
and agranulocytosis are considered to be rare side effects, I’m concerned that if I get a high fever and no other symptoms, it will be assumed to be Coronavirus and I won’t be given a blood test right away - what should I do in this situation?

Neutropenia
I recently had to stop Cellcept as I became severely neutropenic and was admitted to hospital. My neutrophils are up and down, despite Neupogen injections, anybody else had a similar issue? I have a date for Rituximab infusion in 3 weeks but I may not be able to have it. The only meds I am on are plaquenil

In Desperate Need of Healthcare, please, please help Lupus UK
Complete rubbish - newly diagnosed SLE, disease is active, no rheumatologist, no treatment plan, no meds, permantent leukopenia and
neutropenia
- meaning low white cell count and low neutrophil count, the part of white cells that fight infection. But hey, that's NHS Wales for you!

Neutropenia - on ADTs: Lupron 14 years + Apalutamide past 8 months
New news to me: oncologist opined this week that my low WBC count (now @1000) was OK, not Apalutamide related because prior to starting Apalutamide 8 months ago, he said my white blood cell count was 2000. So 2000 could be my normal high. Today I see online that Lupron, and all ADT (still on Lupron continuousy

Test result guidance
I don’t have a copy of my test results but understood my white blood cell count is low (I have had auto immune
neutropenia
for more than 20 years though my lupus diagnosis was only 2017) and liver function is slightly abnormal (this is a common theme for me though the extent varies but the doctor says

Carbimazole and Neutropenia
In fact, the a&e doctor actually said
Neutropenia
was only a risk when you first start taking the Carbimazole. Is that true? Was I never at risk as I have been taking the Carbimazole for 3 months, in spite of my Endo saying I should go to a&e? Has this happened to anyone else?

Carbimazole side effects
I am quite intolerant of Carbimazole - liver enzymes are abnormal and my white cell count is low -
neutropenia
and really sore gums/teeth. All a reaction to the meds but my Endocrynologist insists the alternatives medications are not much better.
