Neutropenia
Hi Dragonfly2007 Was really interesting to read your story, not being up with all your medical jargon I was a bit lost, but my WBC count has slowly been going down, and last test was a 2.9 reading, they have ruled out it being caused by any medication. I am seeing a heamatologist in September,

Neutropenia
I had my fifth V & O infusion today. My pre infusion blood test showed that my neutrophils dropped from 2.1 to 1.37 in past month. I am back to weekly blood tests and more restrictions on fun things I can’t do. My Venetoclax will be reduced if I go below. This is first hiccup in my treatment. Has this

Neutropenia/ low neutrophils
I was diagnosed with
Neutropenia
in 2017 aged 46. Anyone else with
neutropenia
and thyroid problems? I'm sure I'm hypothyroid. My blood test kit has turned up today, so I will wait until Monday before doing the test and posting it off.

Neutropenia whilst on Tocilizumab
Hi. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. Diagnosed with PMR and GCA Nov. 2021. For last 2 months I have been on weekly Tocilizumab injections; this followed a further flare up in December 2023 when the entire aorta was inflamed (I have never had cranial symptoms). I was certainly shocked

Hydroxychloroquine and Methotrexate
Previously I was on Sulfasalazine.I suffered severe
neutropenia
from Sulfasalazine and had to stop immediately. I have dropped my hydroxychloroquine to 200mg a day hoping this will help with the blood platelets but I can't get in touch with the RA nurses until Tuesday to ok this.

, then i swung to hypothyroid and now 7 weeks later I’ve had another blood test and everything’s normal!

Rash on leg
When on chemo, she developed
neutropenia
sepsis which has now effected her blood counts. My mum has developed a rash on the base of her legs, which she has developed before, which went. Please see photo. Has anyone else had this type of rash? Could it be sepsis related again? Any ideas anyone?

hematology oncology appointment tomorrow-stressed
However, my
neutropenia
persists. My neutrophils remain low. My lymphocytes remain high. I also continue to have mild anemia. They discovered that I have T-LGL leukemia early this past December. My ongoing
neutropenia
and anemia result from the leukemia.

Acalabrutinib.. neutropenia and ? Once daily vs twice ?
Been on Acalabrutinib for 7 months. Was doing very well until 2 weeks ago my absolute neutrophil count went down from normal range to 0.59 , hgb up to 10.6 ( was as low as 8.5), WBC 4700, plt 158,000. I was elated with all numbers except for anc. I was temporarily taken off Acala and received 3 shots

Hyperthyroid symptoms and dosage?
My endocrinologist prefers to keep me on a low dose as I am prone to
neutropenia
. I take Propranolol occasionally for the racing heart issues.

Treatment plan for GCALLV relapse …
She’s upped the tcz to weekly, aware that I get
neutropenia
initially, but she’s not concerned and will monitor with weekly bloods. She’s ordered a CT angiogram for neck, and the rest, down to lower limbs arteries to ascertain if there is stenoses or aneurysms.

uMRD 6
Technically, I consider myself partially treated rather than relapsed or refractory, because I only received three of the six cycles of FCR due to profound
neutropenia
. I just learned from my oncologist that I can’t get the UMRD6 test because we had no bone marrow biopsy done before treatment.

2nd chemo cycle delayed - Neutrophils - Grastofil (Filgrastim)
Neutrophils were below minimum value (
Neutropenia
) deemed necessary to continue 2nd cycle, so it was delayed for a week to give bone marrow an extra week to recover. Depending on results in one week - treatment will continue at normal dose or at a reduced dose.

Final lap?
My only frustration is that if I have chemo, the pathway for
neutropenia
is visiting A&E Having already spent many hours waiting, I’m not sure I want to go through that. Perhaps I’ll give carboplatin a go nonetheless. Still feeling blessed and grateful and finding magic in the mundane.

Low haemoglobin/bacteria infection
Has had
neutropenia
sepsis, a blood transfusion and sodium supplements. She has had a cough for 8 weeks now and it's confirmed a bacteria infection, which I know can be caused by the chemo. She is now on antibiotics again.
