FLAIR Trial - ErnieUK More Dehydration Round 5 FCR
I do think it is unfortunate that
Neutropenia
(or the knowledge that you might be Neutropenic) means you tend to cut some of the healthy stuff out your diet (and the clinicians realize that is a bad choice).

Neutropenia after chemo
Blood work yesterday my husband is again very neutropenic after several months of slightly improved numbers. We are 10 months after 6 cycles of FCR. Oncologist rather grimly speculating his bone marrow may not recover. So very very discouraged. He has had shots of neulasta in the past and responds

FLAIR Trial - ErnieUK Dehydration in Round 4 FCR (and home made soup)
That doesn't seem to leave you anywhere to go with a workaround solution, except perhaps a healthier diet, which the
Neutropenia
somewhat dictates against.

My immune system
Perhaps a virus, this made me panic a little bit as it reminded me of when's I had
neutropenia
after 3rd FCR treatment in 2013 then a week in hospital. I worked hard to get my temp down doing the usual plenty of water drinks cold compresses and paracetamol.

Confused about what should a be concern
(Blood tests regularly show mild
neutropenia
and high billirubin but nothing else). She became angry that I was questioning her and stated that she is a GP and cannot be expected to answer these questions. She can only work from the test results which showed that I am fine.

Third time lucky?
Oh and
Neutropenia
Sepsis - now that was also scary! When the cancer was obviosly still there in January the oncologist started me on Caelyx which for me had few side effects and my hair grew back.

Why Oncologists do not support alternative therapy as the only treatment of cancer?
Cells of inner part of mouth are affected (oral ulcers), cells on intestine are affected (diarrhoea), wbc's get affected (
neutropenia
and fever), systems get depressed (weakness). Also, chemotherapy or radiation therapy will kill only those cells which are actively dividing.

Neutropenia and colostrum supplement
I hope this may be helpful. I have had problems during chemo and failed trial screening due to low neutrophil count. This was suggested to me (although I really didn't think it would work, because nothing seems to). However, I purchased a tub of Immune-Tree Colostrum from Amazon and I have been having

Bone marrow cancer
I had severe chronic
neutropenia
for over 2 years with neutrophils of 0.5 and not much higher. The beginning of this year they dropped to 0.1 and have stayed there all year. I had a bone marrow biopsy 18 months ago which showed abnormal T cell clusters.

LATE ONSET NEUTROPENIA MAY BE A COMPLICATION OF FCR (or rituximab, obinutuzumab or other anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody infusions - Admin)
Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but my guess is that the take-away is that if you had Grade 3-4
Neutropenia
during FCR you should be watched for late-onset
neutropenia
also. Also, there is a warning about GCSF support during chemotherapy (Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor).

Enjoying life
Last week, I had my blood examined, as I suffer from
neutropenia
, = low white blood cells count. My consultant saw that I had too little platelets and is watching this. But she worried me when she suddenly said: "Can I examine you", as she put her hand underneath my armpit. She said: "Mm!

On FCR and mum has shingles
Im on round 4 and have a little
neutropenia
after my chemo's. My mum has shingles which she gets a lot. How long should i stay away for? she had it 2 weeks ago and her rash has just gone. I dont want to risk anything as i believe shingles is bad if your on Chemo.

Rehearsing being 'In Remission'
I'm still feeling a bit "knocked about" by the chemo to be honest, and spent the weekend in hospital with fever and high grade
neutropenia
three weeks following my last round of FCR, but I'm home now, and getting on with the business of recovering.

R.a and raynauds
These problems include
neutropenia
and thrombocytopenia - which affect my blood. Since 2008 I have been getting attacks of what I now know is Raynaud's. It frightened the life out of me when it first happened because it affected my whole body.

Don't be a drip; treat cuts and scrapes seriously, particularly if you have CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia)
After several hospital admissions for febrile
neutropenia
, doctors began to wonder if I really was allergic to penicillin. It's actually quite common to be incorrectly diagnosed with this.
