MHRA Public assessment reports
The MHRA has available a considerable number of Public Assessment Reports on medicines. These reports seem to be written during licence application processes. Unlike the Electronic Medicines Compendium (EMC), which is obviously intended for broad public access, these documents are almost hidden away

I'm new on here - Susiecarer
Hi All, my husband has within the last few days been diagnosed with CLL. He is 69, 70 in May. Blood tests have revealed that he has iron deficient anaemia and is taking ferrous sulphate for this. No prescription but local pharmacist was kind enough to sell me it. Due to no idea as to what dose he should

My Ferritin, Folate and B12 results
Hi I wonder if you kind people would have a look at my results which I've just had back from my local surgery. B12 401 (190 - 660) Folate 4.1 (3.9 - 26.8) I'm puzzled by the B12 range. 660 doesn't seem very high at all. Do you think I should still take B12 as it is over half way through the range?

Going to have a nervous breakdown? Is there hope with severe anxiety?
During an usual day I will feel out of it, faint, foggy, tired, weak, shaky, have crying spells and my absolute biggest fear is having a
nervous
breakdown
. Reading what other people have gone through like not being able to speak, move or eat, just completely broken.

Perinatal Iron Deficiency-Induced Hypothyroxinemia Impairs Early Brain Development Regardless of Normal Iron Levels in the Neonatal Brain
Rats are not humans. This is research and contradictory evidence could well be found. Perhaps this shows that throwing a pack Ferrous sulphate at a pregnant woman and caring not whether she takes them or not is deplorable practice. Surely the imprtant thing is to ensure that the iron levels are right

Can anyone help please?
Hello everyone. I haven't needed to post for a while as I've been feeling spot on until the last month or so. I'm currently on ndt and t3. I'd slowly crept the dose up to see if I could encourage weight loss without giving myself hyper symptoms which I think I managed to do. I ended up at 4 grains

Boredom. All the time.
Exactly 3 months ago, had a more or less
nervous
breakdown
. Spiraled into anxiety then depression. Since then, been meditating daily, and reading books (such as Elkhart Tolle) Not much has improved too much. Meditation always helps, but just temporarily.

Does T4 level matter when on NDT?
I recently had a blood test done at my health centre to placate my GP, he is concerned about my suppressed TSH. I just ignore him when he says anything, I have tried explaining that TSH levels are irrelevant when medicating but it does not sink in, though he does accept that I am aware of the risks and

Iron supplements and stool colour
So, it's well known that taking iron supplements usually produces a black stool. But what might cause a sudden return to a "normal" colour? I've not stopped taking the ferrous fumarate, and will allow for the possibility of having been prescribed a duff batch. Are there any other likely reasons?
