Hair loss
Hi I have an underactive thyroid (diagnosed approx 2 years ago). Have been told T4 is fine whatever that means. My hair did start to get better from Dec 2012 - June/July 2013. Ferriting was low and was therefore taking ferrous sulphate three times a day and stopped this approx April as levels back

Persistent Low White Blood Cell Count and Hypothyroidism - any link?
Diagnosed as hypothyroid in Jan 2013. Have just got some blood tests back and very disappointed to see that my white blood cell count has once again dipped - 2.9 (4.0-11.0). My Neutrophil count is 1.3 (2.0-7.5). I have also over the last several months been treated for anaemia, but that picture has

At last, doctor has started me on a trial of Levothyroxine 25mg so I am on the first step of the ladder
I went to doctors this morning and I sat while she looked through all my tests results since last October and she was still insisting my Thyroid wasn't to blame and what did I think would make me better. I told her the symptoms that were the worst and that she said at my last visit she would start

Folate, zinc, Vitamin D
I've got a printout of my latest blood tests done at the end of May. I know the ferritin is low, but I'm wondering if the folate, zinc, and vitamin D could be better? Serum folate 7.9ug/l [2.1 - 14.0] Zinc 10.1 umol/l [10.0-18.0] I don't think I have any signs of zinc deficiency Vitamin

Adrenal Supplement
Started this as a simple question and on writing it down it morphed into a bit of a muddled offload. If you could persevere I would be eternally grateful. Here’s the question: Does anyone have any experience of “Adrenal Gland Concentrate” described in the brochure of the company as “a high potency

Feeling anxious, very tense and snappy - is my medication right?
Tiredness improving though still not great, weight gain stabilising but feel like I'm having a
nervous
breakdown
! A few headaches plus feel really wound up, often quite depressed - very low, sometimes tearful and sometimes aggressive - nightmare to live with.

Do you have to feel worse on T3 before you feel better?
I have recently started on T3 and I'm still titrating the dose - currently on 50mcg split as 37.5 (7.30am), 6.25 (11.30 am) and 6.25 (3.30pm). My basal temperature has twice got to 36.6 C after the first dose, but it quickly falls back so I assume that I'm under-medicated and have a way to go. The

..Aaaand I am telling youuuuuuu......
Since then, life has consisted of looking after my partner who has had a
nervous
breakdown
due to the possibility of losing a job, a sudden and shocking family bereavement and covering for long term sick in work on top of my own ridiculous workload. So I haven't run.

Anxiety is destroying me - please help me!
I had a
nervous
breakdown
in April 2012. This was brought on by a few big life changes happening at the same time - the girl I loves marrying someone else, loosing my job etc. At my lowest point (around this time last year) I couldn't even leave the house.

Low ferritin - anyone else had it? And the issue of who monitors your bloods......
To put this into context, I have been complaining of extreme fatigue, dizziness and generally unwell for 7 months. I have been hospitalised twice for this reason, I have not seen my consultant in that time despite requesting appts. I have been given instructions over the phone to increase my prednisilone

Daughter's Test Results
Firstly I would like to thank you for the fantastic info I was given when I posted last year and which gave me the courage to ask for a trial! I have hashimotos, which took too many years to be diagnosed and I obviously don't want my daughter to suffer unnecessarily. She's been having annual blood
