Nervous to start flecainide acetate For PACs, PVCs, and tachycardia
Hi I am a 32 y/o female who has been taking metoprolol 25mg extended release for a few years now for some PACs, PVCs and tachycardia (tachycardia was never above 130) The metoprolol is making my blood pressure very low and my new cardiologist switched me to flecainide acetate but I’m nervous to start

Testing blood when on Rivaraxaban
I have never been tested for level of coagulation since I have been on Xarelto. Today I met someone who is tested every 6 months. After being on Warfarine for years and having 2 weekly INR tests it did feel strange bring unmonitored. Should I be tested? I ask because I have just had an eye haemorrhage

Sympathetic nerve block or burning nerves?
Hi Guys, Just had a sympathetic lumbar
nerve
block
and it has really helped with my pain, and the next step would be a series of nerve blocks or where they burn the nerves. Which one gives longer pain relief and is nerve burning a safe process? Thanks,

Ilioinguinal nerve block for painful testicle
Has anyone here undergone an Ilioinguinal
nerve
block
for a painful testicle. Did the
nerve
block
stop the pain, if so, for how long?

AF and Pacemaker
I am new to this and have found your posts very informative. I was diagnosed with AF about 2 years ago and have been on Flecainide and Apixaban since. I found pretty much straight away that I felt light headed and off balance but telling my GP didn't go anywhere. Also I find now my pulse and HR are

Slow irregular pulse
I have had a very stressful week with a possible attempt by burglars to break into my house (reported to the police). Not good for AF of course, but I have developed a *slow* irregular pulse over the last couple of days. I have not heard of this before- any ideas what it could be given a diagnosis

Rapid heart rate
So lately I have just been having a lot of ectopic beats. But twice in the last two weeks I have had episodes of racing heart. It last for just a few minutes at about 130 - 140 and in between I have the odd ectopic. My next appointment with my cardiac nurse is not until October. Does this sound like

Recovery from PVI
Hi everyone I am 6 days post PVI and SVC ablation for paroxysmal AF and due to return to active work tomorrow. My cardiologist told me prior to the procedure that A few days off would see me back at work so I assumed recovered from it. I now realise that is just the start. My father had ablation 12

L4 & L5 minor disc bulge / Pins & needles
I’m not a candidate for surgery (too minor/surgeons won’t touch) or
nerve
block
(for block as I have pins & needles on both side of my body) I have been left to it. They cannot help me. They said to see GP for different meds & that I won’t always be like this. Easy for them to say.

7 months post ablation
Hi Everyone, just thought I’d post and see if anyone can shed any light on what’s going on with me. So in October 2018 I was diagnosed with AF and SVT and had a cryoblation. Apart from a few jumps I have been completely fine. I am now 3 months pregnant and yesterday I was sat watching tele and I sniffed

Has anyone tried percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation for lower urinary tract symptoms or bowel/GI issues?
Percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) involves electrical stimulation of the posterior tibial nerve via a TENS unit with one pad electrode placed near the ankle and a small needle electrode placed a few inches above along the tibial nerve. It has been used to treat overactive bladder (OAB) /

Ectopic beats and heart rate
Ectopic beats seem to be worse lately and I’m getting them on and off every single day. Doc isn’t concerned at all and all tests so far have come back normal other than the benign ectopic beats. Can anyone reassure me that they really are nothing to worry about...? I also always have a high resting heart
