I had first operation post right wrist laceration due to severed tendon. Due to constant wrist pain I had second operation a year later to carry out and tenolysis and neurolysis mainly to clear scar tissues from median nerve and tendon. Now after about 10 months after second operation I am now left with severe pins and needles and pain in right palm and wrist. No amount of physio or medications have been helpful. Currently waiting to hear back from pain clinic from recent US scan to confirm CRPS diagnosis. Also I am in waiting list for median nerve block.

Besides right wrist, I feel pain radiating up in my right arm and shoulders. I occasionally feel pain and tingling in left hand too. I have severe pain in back neck muscles and upper back muscles all the time. I feel both feet burning and entire both legs below hips hurt all the time even when I'm fully rested. Shoes hurt my toes and walking longer distances is an impossibility. I have been learning to cope with just my wrist pain now for past several months been struggling to deal with this widespread pain.

My question is can neuropathic pain that started in one hand spread on rest of body like that. Please share your experiences.

To top it all I also have been getting 24/7 loud and sharp ringing in both ears.

You need to see a McTimony chiropractor who can look at your spine. This may be coincidence that a spinal problem happened at the same time as a wrist problem. All one can do is investigate and from the results of that investigation get a second opinion to take back to the doctor or the problem may have been fixed.

Maybe you have carpal tunnel syndrome ?

This sounds like you have neuropathic pain spreading through your body. That type of pain requires a difference type of pain killer, such as amitriptyline, duloxetine or gabapentin. Have any of your doctors tried you on one of those?
