I contracted viral meningitis caused by HSV 2 in April 2019. Luckily was only in hospital a couple of days and was able to go home once they got the headaches and pain under control. I was sent home and instructed to take almost 3 grams of Acyclovir for 10 days. After the 10 days my primary care dr

Beta blocker sensitivity?
Hi all and many thanks to all who have helped me out with my various worries and woes etc in the last few years. I wonder if I can pick your brains and see if I can gauge consensus here or see if anyone has had similar issues. I’m 6/7 weeks since RF ablation (second one) and despite some phrenic nerve

Shingles Vaccine
My Rheumatologist has recommended that I get a shingles vaccination before starting biologics. Anyone else under 50 and received vaccine? Any adverse events? I’ve read mixed reviews since no studies have been conducted on safety of vaccine in patients with autoimmune disease. I am getting it tomorrow

Apixaban vs Warfarin?
My GP has just offered to put me on apixaban and take me off warfarin, he said that if I had presented now with my first episode of afib, I would automatically be put onto it and not warfarin. This sounds like an excellent idea because there are no dietary restrictions which as a veggie means I can

Heart Rate after exercise
I normally walk a couple of miles a day, and get my heart rate up to the maximum during the walk, as well as keeping it in the "training range" for 20-30 minutes. Yesterday, I walked with some friends who set an aggressive pace, and after I finished the walk, my heart rate would not come down below

Viral Meningitis 72 year old father
My dad fell unresponsive over 2 weeks ago. Once in the hospital they determined he had viral meningitis. Lots of antibiotics and 2 weeks later he is extremely weak, won’t eat, and he is confused and agitated. He struggles to know who we are (my mom, brother, grandkids, etc) and has little to no

My pelvic pain synopsis
So I am a fellow pelvic pain sufferer and after huge amounts of research and trying things and a multitude of discussions with people,I think I am seeing the light somewhat.I myself am a Certified mind/body/lifecoach,which I decided to do because I think so many of us are disconnected from the damage

Anxiety/SVT/SSRIs
Over the years I had various bouts of racing heart beat especially after exercise. I also had panic disorder so it was often hard to tell whether I am having SVT or panic. I have taken SSRI anti depression meds on and off for a long time but don’t like the side effects. After I stop taking the SSRIs

Notes on post ablation/ post medication experiences
Just a couple quick notes on my experiences after ablation (December 3, 2018) and after coming off flecainide (end of March) and metoprolol (end of April) after 10 years on both: First, I was/am somewhat disappointed that coming off the meds didn’t seem to change my energy level or tiredness. I had

Suspected Endometriosis - Can anyone relate?
Hi There, Sorry for the long post - This is my Journey I've always struggled with my period, however for the past year I've been having unbearable pains, but speaking to my doctors they advised it was normal and due to the conception I was on. In March 2019 I had my implant because the pain was too

Why aren’t instructions on any pulsating implements prepared to tell prospective buyers that they are not suitable for any one with a pacemaker or any device connecting to the heart problems. I had to have a test done for my tens machine before I was allowed to use it there was a great big “BUT” with
