Bisoprolol when low tachycardia
Hello there! Yesterday I felt pretty anxious and I didn't know why, I did a couple of breathing exercies when I noticed that my heartbeat was too fast for me (around 90-100) when most of the time my resting heart beat is between 60-75. I waited few hours but it started to bother me when I was at work

2nd degree heart block, type 2 = pacemaker. 49 years old and no previous heart issues
Hello all - my first post! I was diagnosed with heart block and after an EP test this week, it has been confirmed as Second degree heart block, type 2. I have been scheduled for a pacemaker, MRI compatible, implant this Wednesday, 26 September. At 49 I really feel that I'm in a surreal experience

Coming off Apixaban
I don’t think I have had AFib since a two week episode in December/January. Once I had a short episode of 30 seconds a few months ago. I’m fairly sure I’m not having any AFib episodes in my sleep. I’m awaiting results of a three day ECG from two months ago. I want to come off Apixaban. Any advice on

CoaguChek XS Coagulation Meter
I want to know if the CoaguChek Coagulation Meter can be used for people who take Pradaxa. Or is it just for Warfarin patients? I understand Warfarin changes the way the liver adjust blood coagulation and the other anticoagulants do not. I saw a good deal on one on EBay and also learned Medicare

What should I do if I forget my anticoagulant?
This is a common question so i was delighted to come across the following in a new fact sheet from Thrombosis UK which I have been given permission to borrow. It has been approved by medical specialist so take it as gospel. Apixaban. Take the table as soon as you remember and take the following tablet

The beginning of the end of anxiety?
You feel bewildered and confused. Some awful malaise has descended on you and you don't know why. What is happening to you is perfectly normal. It is the normal reaction of your nervous system to a long period of worry, overwork, stress, disappointment, grief without closure, money worries and/or trauma

Nerve block
Hi everyone. I have just seen my gynaecologist in a follow up. In March I had surgery to separate my uterus from my abdomen and to treat endometriosis. I still had significant pain in my right side so was referred to a gastroenterologist who did and MRI and then a (very painful) colonoscopy. The gynaecologist

Tens machine
Hi! I have purchased a tens machine. I have a few questions for anyone who has used one before. How best have people found to use these? How long for? Which setting is most beneficial? Thank you!

Not living with RLS
Hi I'm writing this as I have now been awake for 36 straight hours. I'm beside myself due to my RLS and PLM. Last night after my partner had gone to bed I tried to sleep, but was unable too. The nasty sensation in my thighs, my shoulders and my feet had me walking on my treadmill for 3 hours, I cooked

Relief from Sciatic nerve pain.
I have incredible pain apparently caused by impingement of the sciatic
nerve
and have recently had a
nerve
block
steroid injection which has not relieved the pain. It will be weeks before the after treatment appointment so has anyone any advice concerning the correct exercises that may help.

Permanent AF--is it worse than intermittent?
I'm intrigued by many of the posts I read on this site where people are or are not in permanent AF. I am, but my Cardiologist only sees me once a year even though I'm on the wrong side of 80. My GP, who I trust implicitly says he is the conduit to the Specialist and thus checks blood pressure, pulse

Pudendal nerve block question??
The question I have is my doctor asked if I wanted the pudendal
nerve
block
when he gives me my Botox injections. He would inject the pudendal nerve with a mixture of like lidocaine. My pudendal
nerve
is not entrapped just irritated . Should I get the
block
? He said it’s up to me .

Wrist BP monitor showing intermittent arrhythmia - What to do?
Hi, new here and looking to see if anyone can help with my situation. I was diagnosed last year with SVT which was happening occasionally - to my awareness. Happened about 3 times last year. Saw cardiologist last Dec and due to have ambulatory monitoring in Nov. He wasn't too worried and agreed to waiting

New here and just diagnosed with AFib. Need advice please regarding Apixaban.
Hi all. Please see the post below that I posted yesterday on the Anticoagulation forum. I was advised to also post here. Fourteen years ago I had 'mild' heart attack and was put on a statin, blood pressure tab and aspirin. At the time my G.P. questioned whether I had really had a heart attack (but that
