Update to my May avrnt ablation I had a follow up at Stoke Royal Staffs 28th August, after another 72 hour holter all good as far as the recurring episodes of SVT (none since) but found my very low heart rate sometimes only 36bpm during the day & spikes of high heart rate now require the fitting of a pacemaker!! I had the option of trying different drugs which may well take another drawn out period to trial & test & still need a pacemaker in the end. So I felt the best option was a pacemaker, with certain drugs (flecainide )to keep the high heart rate down & the pacemaker as a back up, Cardio/EP reckons it may help with the Ectopics too! I would rather have some quality of life rather than feel fatigued continuously!
My implant is scheduled for 24th Sept 2019 & have been taken off Bisoprolol completely until then, so overall I'm positive about the whole thing.

Still very short of breath, Procedure has been put back 3 days to 27th hey ho I can deal with it, thanks so much for your thoughts & prayers. Hope UR ok too.
I had a pacemaker fitted at 71 yrs of age 3 days ago after a successful ablation for SVT (AVNRT) 6 months ago, but I was still brady
cardic with HR as low as 29 bpm at night & 39/55 bpm during the day with spikes of 157 bpm during light exercise!
I cannot believe the difference in how I feel right now, Shortage of breath has almost gone & don't feel as exhausted as I used to. I'm hoping for continued improvement in the coming weeks & months when my PM will be fine tuned.
I feel better than I have for the past three years. My advice is go for it if you feel rotten all the time! Procedure took less than an hour, although sore for a few days Paracetamol worked well. Good luck & best wishes! Hope you are coping.
