Penis and testicle pain.

I've had an overactive bladder for over 3 years now and I've had various tests, everything has come back clear. Apparantly the specialist now thinks it's was prostatitis that wasn't treated early enough and has left me with nerve damage or chronic pelvic pain. Some days I can't even walk and im scared to wake up in the morning, I get relief from lying in my bed warm or baths and showers. The most of the pain is through a line on my penis that the doctors say it's a natural raphe line, this line has only just appeared over the last year. I'm getting an MRI scan soon as I demanded one after 3 years of torture. I'm also getting a pudendal nerve block if anyone knows anything about them, if any of the males that can relate to the testicle and penis pain I would love to hear from you as I have never met anyone with this problem. I'm 28 and I feel like this is it for me now, has anyone got any tips on how to manage this pain. Thankyou.

You need to see a pelvic pain physical therapist ASAP you probably have pelvic floor dysfunction which causes all those symptoms even if you get imaging and procedures done it won't help usually you may have pudental nerve entrapment and the PT can help with that too some of us have gone through all of this and still going through it but it's a lot better because we saw the PT... cymbalta and flexeril and other help and some people need Botox in pelvic floor... Tens units can help there's a lot of stuff to help it so don't give up I've been through it for a year now you can message me and here's my email.. mbhs21@gmail.com...Audrey

Hi, Epididymitis, Varicocele, Prostatitis, Testicular torsion,Other reasons include orchitis, external force injury, sedentary compression and so on can cause the testicular pain. There are some treatment for you,

1.Routine care

Men should pay attention to the routine care of testicles in peacetime, you can massage the testicles with thumb for 10 minutes in time and counter-time during bathing or before sleeping, which is beneficial to your testicles with long-term persistence. If abnormal pain is found during the massage, it may be orchitis or epididymitis, you should go to the regular hospital in time for an examination.

2.Balanced diet and healthy lifestyle

Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, increase the intake of vitamin C and other components to improve the body's anti-inflammatory ability. Eat less stimulating food so as not to cause the increased discharge of the inflammatory parts, further infiltration, and spread of orchitis and aggravation of the condition.

3.Preventing various diseases of reproductive infections

Orchitis is usually secondary to epididymitis, and epididymitis is often secondary to prostatitis, urethritis, seminal vesiculitis and other reproductive infections, so one of the important ways to prevent orchitis is to prevent various reproductive infections. Testicular pain caused by epididymitis and other diseases is mainly treated with anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory drugs.

However, if you take these drugs for a long time, it will cause some side effects and drug resistance, and the effect at the later stage is getting unobvious. To reduce side effects, patients can also take natural medicine such as Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill, because of its bactericidal and anti-inflammatory ability, it can quickly eliminate bacteria and pathogens which causes testicular infection

.

4. Self-treatment

If orchitis causes high fever, it is advised to take physical cooling treatment, patients can apply your heads with a towel covered with cold water, or use alcohol and ice water to wash your body.

Hi! I just had a bilateral pudendal nerve block 2 weeks ago. I also had Botox put into my pelvic floor for muscle spasms. So the injection ( pudendal nerve block) will most likely have lidocaine and a steroid of some sort. So the lidocaine will wear off in about 2 days then the steroid should kick in and last for 2-4 more weeks. If you pain goes away the first couple of days after the injection then it confirms that the pudendal nerve is the cause of your pain. If there is swelling around the nerve the steroid will keep the pain from returning for another 2-4 weeks. If there is no swelling around the nerve as in my case, then the pain comes back in 2 days and my MD said the the nerve was entrapped in the muscle somewhere. I also agree that you need to see a pelvic floor physical therapist as soon as you can. There are a lot of different techniques they can try to help decrease your pain. Wishing you all the best and hope you feel better in the days to come.

Thankyou for your reply, I'm getting straight on to seeing a pelvic physio. I will see how the nerve block goes also and see how I react. Thankyou

I have similar issues does it feel worse at different times and Where does the penis pain go from and to, do you feel like you need to massage tip cause cause of sensation can you feel areas between testicles and anus that are pressure points, that feel better when manipulated, does it feel like you need to pee urgently and when you do relieves it for a bit, possible bladder/stomach ache and maybe like a line has been drawn from lower back right the way underneath and to tip of penis. Does the feeling feel like it’s burning slightly deep behind the penis like at the root. This is a very quick response as not much time if it’s any of this contact me again as I have been there and had all the tests privately you can have and are still living it, what I will say is your not alone and don’t worry as that makes it worse. The pain is in the testicles and the underside of the penis, it comes right from the bottom up a scar like line to near the top. A raphe line according to the specialist but it's only just come over the past 2 years. I get a nipping pain through it so I have to pull foreskin back then the pain goes to the bellend like someone is burning it. The pain comes and goes but the line is getting longer, more apparent and more painful everyday.

There is lots of pain on the underside of the penis, it's like a burning stinging nipping sensation up through a line that has appeared... Is yours like this?

Relax, it is very likely you have very tight muscles which are pinching nerves leading to your pains and bladder dysfunction. My pelvic floor therapist has new patients exactly like you every day. She just needs a few sessions to relax the pelvic floor. You may have an underlying condition which causes your muscle tension which may need to be addressed. It is very good news that a warm bath helps you- this is obviously due to relaxing your muscles and allowing your nerves to function properly. The trick is finding a good pelvic floor therapist. If you could let the board know where you live I am sure you will get many suggestions which will be worth your time. Good luck! The bladder dysfunction can be one of the last things to go; this is something I still suffer from and cannot take bladder irritants such as low levels of acidic drugs. Please keep us up-to-date on any progress that you hopefully will get in the future.

That is great news thank you for your response, I will get onto finding a pelvic floor physio asap. Do you think am MRI will be beneficial to my symptoms? What about the nerve block? How do I message the board to ask, I only opened my account yesterday? Thankyou

My suggestion would be to go ahead with the MRI since it is non-invasive. Hold off on the nerve block until you have done a few physical therapy sessions since it is invasive. You can start reading about dct here (freedomfrompelvicpain.com/t....
