Branded Apixaban V generic Apixaban
Well, something strange is happening.I have been bruising on my legs for the the last month or so and my bloods are ok with recent tests. I read an article on how generic brands of drugs can be absorbed by the body differently to the branded version. I questioned my pharmacist who had said it's unusual

Wenckebach and Tachycardia
Hello, what would be the treatment for 25 year old who regularly exercises but reaches 180-190s heart rate almost every workout, even Pilates. Constantly in 140s-150s heart rate just by walking. Resting HR high 80s. Already ruled out any deadly tachycardias. But they also have Wenckebach during wake

Took double dose of Apixaban and Flecainide
My 'foolproof' drug-taking regime broke down this morning and I took 5mg Apixaban and 100mg Flecainide twice within a couple of hours. Realised almost immediately what I had done and did the fingers down the throat over the loo manoeuvre - to no avail. Rang pharmacist and got the expected advice -

Does this sound like endo?
I have had chronic pelvic/ lower back pain for the past 12 years, it flares up to the point where I can't do anything, but lay in bed and then after a few days to weeks it calms down to just the "usual pain/ache" and the cycle continues. I have been to see so many doctors and trips to A&E over the years

tetanus booster and Covid vaccine
Hello I had a tetanus booster yesterday and I asked my GP if it was ok to get Covid vaccine next Thursday. He said he didn’t know and to check with primary care. When I saw the nurse she said it’s fine as both are inactivated. Does anyone know about this ? I tried finding out but haven’t managed to

Ectopics one after the other
Hi there, I hope it's ok to join? I've posted on here before on the British Heart Foundation but I wondered if anyone here could also help me. Very brief history, I am female, aged 47 and perimenopausal (on HRT). I started having palpitations, ectopic beats around 2 years ago and had a suspected SVT

I started having a fibs in 2007 after having Lyme disease and also possibly too much thyroid medication. I’ve managed it all these years and after I turned 65 2 1/2 years ago, the doctor started pressuring me to go on blood thinner because of stroke risk. my score is only a two and it’s a gray area for

Bisoprolol
Fatigued and VO2 level is very low. Could Bisoprolol be the cause and is it safe to come off it if it is. I take 1.25mg daily for Tachycardia.

New FDA approved therapy (fingers crossed!)
Dear fellow RLS sufferers: My Kaiser doc informed me that there is a new device just coming to market for RLS. It has been approved by the FDA for mod-severe RLS, and is currently available in three states, CA being one. The machine is called the NXT 100 ToMAC, and it is somewhat similar to TENS.

Does TENS machines help with Endometriosis?
I am willing to trial anything if it will help reduce my symptoms as I'm struggling quite badly. Someone told me to get a TENS machine as it could help with the pain I've been having. I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this or have tried it and it helps with there endo pain?

Changing from Adoxaban to Apixaban … what to expect?
Good morning forum. While waiting for a second cardioversion the medics have decided to change my anticoagulant from Adoxaban to Apixaban (the low dose Adoxaban I was on until this morning could be a bit borderline if I put on just a pound or two weight). A bit fed up as this delays the cardioversion

Pending Hysterectomy Advice
Hi everyone, I’m feeling anxious to write here, it’s only tonight I thought maybe something like this might help, alongside those who know and are experiencing the same as me. I’m due to undergo surgery for a hysterectomy in December, and am now starting to feel incredibly anxious. Sorry for the essay

Side Effects from Metoprolol 25mg
I am taking Metoprolol 25mg halved twice a day for AFib and having side effects of almost passing out or a weird feeling of like I would be passing out which has happened twice now. I'm taking it with Eliquis. Is anyone else having this symptom?
