Side Effects from Metoprolol 25mg
check your blood pressure, it might be low bc of the Metoprolol. You may need a lower dose
I took Metoprolol for high blood pressure then ended up on Nebivolol instead as i got high blood pressure but only 10mgs per day..
But for A fib i took Dijoxin then Amiodarone didnt know Metoprolol was used for A fib it didnt stop me getting it or seem to slow it down..
Just said it did nothing for me ok i know what it is and what it does so you do not have to tell me that also thats a big dose Jim is taking and it seems its having little real effect..
Also i know quite a few people who have had A fib not one got prescribed Metoprolol for it..
Jimr1950 Do consult with your doctor about your symptoms.
I began with Metoprolol at the same dosage .25mg. It is a very low dose, average does for many is .50mg which I am on.
When I began Metoprolol, it did cause noticeable fatigue, however, not fainting feeling. Google Metoprolol and you can see the possible side effects which will normally lessen over time. It is a safe drug that controls your heart rate with no or little effect on your system (kidneys, thyroid, etc). It is good to have blood tests at least annually to determine its effect.
Best to you in managing your health.
I agree that you need to speak to your doctor about this. It does also seem a very high dose you're having. I was fairly recently diagnosed with A-F but am only on 2.5mg, one morning and night. I didn't even know there was as high a dose as 25mg! Or is this a 'typo' you haven't noticed? 🤗
Thats ok sorry i seemed a bit hard it was not meant that way its been a tough week none the less i get so frustrated at times anyways i wish you the very best of health..😃😃
Thanks to everyone that gave feedback. It sure has been a challenge. And to top it all off, I lost my Blood Pressure Machine....
I am taking both pills for 3 years and no problems.
