PN guy
had pudendal neuralgia for 5 years . It went away but everything I tried was not helping. Best help was tramadol by far. Those tricyclics were awful and did nothing. Caused irregular heart beat . Cymbalta felt like I was nuts. All the pt and injections did nothing including rf blocks. Now after 7 years

Routine is a good thing?
Greetings Warriors, I have been sitting on the sofa for about an hour now thinking how grand it is that I have been on the same treatment regiment for almost ten years. Each day I wake up and without thinking, reach to my nightstand and take four Zytiga, a 5 mg prednisone and my blood pressure medicine

alcohol
hi has anyone has a couple of alcoholic beverages while on Prednisolone. I am down to 3mg and have been off alcohol since I started my PMR journey. Just wondering if it’s best not to have any alcohol until down to zero, or if a couple of pints would do a lot of harm.

Very tired & can’t walk in straight line.
I was diagnosed in Jan 2023 with PMR & put on 15mg Prednisolone. I am now tapering 1mg per month and am down to 8mg. I am exhausted most of the time, can’t walk in a straight line and stagger quite a bit if very tired. I also have a very annoying sensation under my scalp on the top of my head, which

Managing Prednisone dose with PMR
I was diagnosed with PMR in Sept 2023. ESR was 57 CRP was 46. My GP put me on 50mg of Pred for a few days with a slow tapering down. Currently I am on 3mg but am really uncomfortable day & night, and unable to do some normal daily tasks such as brushing hair, drying my back after a shower, vacuuming

Am I an "outlier"?
Simply wanted to report on what happened after I stopped taking Prednisone. I was diagnosed with PMR in August, 2022 and put on 13 mg of prednisone daily and 70mg of Fosamax, once weekly (to counter the bone loss associated with prednisone), In the fall of 2023, I finally got down to 1mg of prednisone

The Big C
Hello friends: After 3 and 1/2 years of GCA and prednisone, I think I’m pretty much free. I’m down to 1 mg every other day. As providence has dictated, I was just diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, which is an aggressive and unforgiving cancer. My question regards my current Immune state

I started a Zytiga holiday yesterday. Still on Lupron for now. How long should I keep taking prednisone? I know Zytiga clears out pretty fast.

Second Opinion
I was originally told I had possible CP after EUS showed scar tissue on pancreas. I had additional labs done for any autoimmune issues and my IgG 4 was elevated and I was then told AIP and put on prednisone. I haven't been happy with the communication in my Drs office so I got a second opinion from

Periodontal Abscess while on Prednisone
Hello to the group. I have just developed an abscess on the gum of a tooth that had a root canal and crown done 2 years ago. I saw a different person in my dentist’s practice today who confirmed the abscess and said I should go back asap to the endodontist who did the original root canal for either

so confusing
I had PMR in my 50s. Was treated with prednisone until the PMR burned itself little over a year later. Last June, 20 years later, my hands and wrists became a problem. No swelling but pain & stiffness in fingers and wrists. Carpal tunnel syndrome was the first dx. Over the summer pain and stiffness
