On hydrocortisone after being on prednisone for close to 5 years
Anyone else had experience with going on hydrocortisone from prednisone after symptoms of adrenal insufficiency? Endocrinologist saying maybe she can get me off medication when I reach 10 mg.

scared and ready to give up
I have medicine anxiety, and I’m afraid I’m developing GCA! I can’t take it anymore, after 2 years…I’ve only taken ibuprofen from time to time, I have a high pain threshold, but it’s the severe possibilities I can’t handle! I’m an artist and fear blindness, but my anxiety about meds is freaking me out

Travel and timezones - timing of Prednisone
Hello I checked FAQs. not sure if this topic has been discussed. what is the recommendation for the timing of taking Prednisone when traveling from the US to Europe (7 hour time difference). so for example, if I take Prednisone at 12pm daily in the US., how do I adjust to taking the Prednisone

Sweating on Abi, Prednisone and Lupron
Perhaps it is related to the night sweats and my body's inability to control it's temperature while I am on these drugs. Between working out more and these hot summer days I find that I sweat FAR more than I used to. I figure it's another drug side effect but wanted to ask if anyone has the same experience

Update: using very slow reductions of ¼ mg per week while taking 100mg of hydroxychloroquine I was able to stop prednisone on June 15, 2024 after 2 years and 3 months with PMR. I continue to take this low dose of hydroxy intermittently several days a week. So far all is well. It’s a far cry from starting

GCA flair?
Hello, I have been dealing with GCA for over a year. For the last few months things have been great and I was able to reduce my prednisone, very slowly to 4 1/2 mg a day. I am also on Actemra infusions once a month. This past week, on two occasions I was eating and my jaw made hard cracking sound. I

Treatment update-is SBRT missing the lesions ?
PET scan 8/21 following PSA 54.5 showed numerous bone lesions. Zytiga, prednisone, Eligard knocked PSA to <.064 until 1/23 PET showed new small lesion in left hip. Radiation 35 Gray 5/5 completed 3/15/23 with PSA drop then bounce from 0.24 to 5.9 triggered another PET on 9/6/23 which showed a new metastasis

prednisone reduction advice.
DL. Could you send me a link to the reduction guide. I have managed to reduce gradually from 15mg to 10mg with no ill effects. I’m a little unsure how long I should stay with this level.

Malecare newsletter reports Finish study glucocorticoids (e.g. prednisone, prednisolone, dexamethasone) can lead to castrate resistance

question
I started tapering prednisone 10 one day 5 the next for 4 weeks starting 25/6 and since Thursday all of my symptoms are back well my pleural effusion is definitely back with a vengeance. Could this be down to the reduction? Sorry my heads all over the place, my breathing hurts and I’m in so much pain

is a return of arm shoulder pain on one side unusual.
The initial euphoria after three days of 15mgm prednisolone when the pain in both upper arms and thighs was relieved, I have found over the last week or so that the pain has gradually returned in my upper left arm. As a newbie I’m not sure if this one sided response is normal. It is the same pain as
