Hi everyone especially Dorsetlady who I promised to update. I seen my respiratory consultant today who is convinced the lowering of prednisone by rheumatologist to 10/5 daily ie 10 one day 5 the next has definitely caused my new right sided pleural effusion so he’s now increased prednisone to 30mg and I’m on a very slow taper as well as antibiotics, he now believes I definitely need immunotherapy asap . He’s sending email to my rheumatologist highlighting this as my recent CT scan of lungs is showing hardly any inflammation thanks to prednisone.

Thanks everyone

Thank you so much, he wanted me in hospital to get pain under control as he thinks I’ve broken a rib after a fall on Saturday but they can’t do anything for broken ribs anyway and I’m already taking oramorph so I’m better with home comforts and infection free
