Why should not we increase L-Dopa bioavailability in the Brain
After watching this video you will find out why you shouldn’t manipulate the L Dopa bioavailability in the brain. https://youtu.be/_eq28PCvfsg You are trying to balance something but you will end up messing with the same thing, in this case the Dopamine.

Promising results for a GLP-1 receptor agonist. Exenatide group of PwP showed improved motor function in a randomised, double-blind trial.
I first read about GLP-1 receptor agonists recently. They are diabetes drugs. However, I immediately thought that they would be a great thing to try for Parkinson's. Why? Because GLP 1 receptor agonists can lower inflammation, calm microglial cells, and reduce programmed cell death. Well, it turned

Cryotech for pain.
I just saw a tv segment on using cryotechnology for pain relief. Apparently you are exposed to nitrogen generated cold for three minutes to temperatures of -200 to -250 degrees. Has anyone tried this for cancer pain relief?

Apomorphine is a somewhat strange Dopamine Agonist (non-egoline DA Parky B!) that required subcutaneous injections. It certainly hasn't been a mainline DA prescription in the USA. Docetaxel rechallenge
Hi all, I'm considering speaking with my MO about a possible Docetaxel rechallenge. My last Docetaxel (5 years ago) session of 6 courses brought my psa down to 0.05 from the 700's. I'm finishing my Provenge treatment this week and being that my psa is on the rise, (0.9), I'm at a crossroads. Does anyone

Nifedipine/ Coracten
Hi, I've been on Nifedipine 20mg (Adalat Retard) twice daily for about 5 years to help control painful spasms in my forearms related to Raynauds/Scleroderma. I'm also on Carbamazepine, Aspirin, Co-codamol, and Illoprost every 6 months. The recent change to Coracten I think has led to side effects which

Grapefruit Juice dosing, another perspective
Yesterday I had a rather extensive conversation with my acupuncturist regarding the use of grapefruit juice. Two weeks ago I shared with him the N=1 study published by Wriga on this forum. Michael was familiar with the issues. He has used grapefruit peels in the preparation of TCM medications. Also

Cinnamon brings new hope for Parkinson’s Disease
"According to many studies cinnamon helps prevent cellular damage to the area of the brain that causes Parkinson’s." My friend has been using cinnamon and I'd begun to believe that his success was due to properties of Sodium benzoate and how they acted in the gut. I thought that the antibacterial activities

Right side of body tingling?
Hi all, I wondered if I could ask advice. I’ve been having three monthly injections for 9 years. Usually if I’m a couple days out my hands and feet start to tingle. I have been so busy lately, and somehow realised my injection was three weeks overdue!!! I had it on Wednesday, but I don’t feel any better
