I’ve just posted the following as a reply to an older post but thought I’d duplicate in the hope that someone sees it who can relate and advise. I am currently 5 months into DAPT and usual post HA meds:
” I think I am suffering with GERD but not diagnosed as been ‘chasing that chicken’ for two months! (Resorted to writing a letter explaining symptoms to GP in the hopes I’ll get an appointment!). However, I am on Omeprazole as prescribed as a result of a trip to a&e. I’m just wondering if anyone else feels acid reflux as a kind of bruise from within along the middle of chest from throat to just above the stomach and like you’ve something stuck in your throat?
Hope everyone is doing well and thanks in advance for any replies. x

I am currently experiencing the exact symptoms of tight chest as if someone is pushing onto it. The throat feels almost congested and sometimes short breath’d.
I had 2 stents put in Oct 2019, the chest symptoms started about 6 weeks ago. Been to the GP, they got me to take gastro tablets, Lansoprazole which have helped, but only slightly. Ive arranged to go back to the GP in 2 weeks to request for this to be looked further.
From fellow patients on this forum, its most likely the acid reflux from the medication!
Thank you for taking the time to reply. It gives a lot of reassurance when someone else is going through the same as myself. I hope your recovery continues to progress.
