Golf ball in rib cage left side post covid. Any ideas?
I am recovering from having covid and was quite poorly with it. It has played havoc with my asthma. My self isolating ended on Monday and yesterday I did a flow test which was negative. I still have the occasional cough and my sense of smell is still not back. Last night when I went to bed and lay

I'm booked for an MRI Cardiac stress perfusion next week, what are your experiences of these scans?
I had a stent in May and was really well until September when my Angina returned with attitude. My Naproxen has been increased to 20 mg twice a day and 2.5mg Bisoprolal added. I'm experiencing daily pain and have had a couple of visits to A&E when the pain spread to my neck and jaw.

*WARNING* Long moaning post. Please scroll by if you're feeling frail....
Apologies for this post but I am so frustrated and don’t really know what to do. I was diagnosed back in September by GP with PMR. ESR 49. Prescribed 15 mg pred. The improvement was amazing. No pain anywhere (even old osteoarthritis was masked). I was euphoric. More tests discovered I had an abnormal

Chest pain leading to debilitating flares of pain and lack of sensation on left side of the body.
Hello everyone, apologies for the long post here but I wanted to go into as much detail as I could. Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to read this. tl;dr, chest pain and flares of pain and lack of sensation. Diagnosis of costochondritis but not sure if that is the full story. Around

Omeprazole again!
Following UPke1's post about omeprazole a couple of days ago, I have decided to reduce my dose from 40mg daily to 20mg. this is for two reasons: 1 The GP is very sweet and young and when I asked him how long I must take it, he said, as long as I am on pred - well that could be for ever- and when I asked

Constant cold
I seem to have this cold that just won’t go away. I just start feeling a bit better then it flares up again. Had it around 6-weeks. I take methotrexate hydroxychloroquine Certrizine folic acid b12 tablets vitamin D tablets and esomeprazole. How can I get rid of this cold?

Article from the Daily Telegraph today.
I’m so glad I refused the Omeprazole and took the excellent advice from someone here to take my pred with natural, live yoghurt instead . DOCTOR’S DIARY A hidden side to wonder drugs Bitter pill: PPIs can interfere with the body’s absorption of vital minerals A wise physician once observed: “When I hear

A Few Months of Tendon Issues
Good morning to you all! Over the last few months I have managed to damage a calf tendon, achilles heel and a tendon in my right elbow (particularly debilitating). This seemed a little unusual as none of the events occurred due to heavy lifting or exercise. I did an online search - as you do - and found

How to manage severe symptoms of B12 deficiency?
My psychiatrist prescribed me mirtazapine 30 mg half every night and resperidone 1 mg. But since I take painkillers I didn't take resperidone because it's SSRIs ( selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) and it has severe interaction with NSIAD painkillers like naproxen and ibuprofen and causes gut bleeding

Assessment at the Royal Free, etc
At the start of this week my partner had his transplant assessment at the Royal Free. It was a really positive experience. Because we came from Bristol we stayed in the on-site hotel, which is great! There was a lot of waiting for tests and for the medics to be available. I couldn't stay on the unit

Omeprazole
Omeprazole has been added to my prescription - so far I haven't taken it as I'd rather take as few medications as possible. It seems to be recommended with steroids and alendronic acid - is it necessary? I have been encouraged to take AA due to osteopenia but, again, not entirely sure if I need it.

Five months ago my husband had a triple bypass following a heart attack. When he came out of hospital with the usual huge amount of pills his stomach was pretty upset. Certain foods make him gag. Also he found it difficult to tolerate his partial denture. Things did improve although his taste in food
