Hi so 14 months ago I had a sudden on set of severe right sided pain, after various test and 2 weeks of begging the drs to do something, they took me in for a diagnostic lap + appendisectomy. Waiting for diagnosis of Endo
Hi :) I don't know very much about endometriosis but have been told it could be what's causing my pain. I started my periods age 11 and they have always been painful and heavy from day one. My mum was worried so repeatedly took me to see my GP but we were told the same old thing it's "normal" you're

Splotchy hands
I’m just wondering if anyone experiences easy bruising on fingers and palms with visible grey veins and little grey bumps. It comes and goes but I see it mostly when my hands feels cold and when I use a hand held electric mixer (the mixer gives me bruises). My first RA symptoms appeared late August

Advice wanted
Ten years ago I had two DVT's in my right leg at the age of 28. No long haul flights, no bumps, no medical problems. Blood was fine, was on warfarin for standard 6 months and Ive worn knee high compression sock every since. In 2015 I had a scan because my leg swelled up like a clot again, it found no

Will this inflammation be munching away at my knee?
I have now been taking Methotrexate tablets for 12 weeks, gradually working up to 25g. Thankfully no side effects except chronic tiredness!. The problem is it isnt doing anything to help my extremely swollen & very painful left knee which ive had all this time. On my last visit to my Rhuemy nurse I

Early Remission!
Thought I'd share some recent good news. Thanks to everyone for their support when I first posted, I was pretty scared at the time, I suppose we all have the same reaction at first .To go from having a pretty active life to then being in pain from just picking the kettle up is a difficult thing to

CBD Oil / Cannabis use
Hey everybody, Hope you're having a good day. Over the last few months, I've seen a lot of posts on here about Cannabis and CBD Oil and there seems to be a lot of misconceptions so I thought I'd try and clean things up. Before I can explain why Cannabis and CBD Oil can be effective in helping with RA

Lupus and fibromyalgia
I am seriously wondering if I have lupus and fibromyalgia after reading up on both of the diseases. I don't get joint pain as such but aching painful neck, shoulders, back, jelly legs and arms, heaviness/lead feeling in my arms and legs. I can't hold my arms up for more than a couple of seconds before

Cold or flu on Methotrexate?
Hi all, just seeking a bit of advice. Felt really unwell yesterday, shivering & going hot alternatively plus nausea, didn’t eat a thing & took myself up to bed at 6Pm & took naproxen & a co codamol. No temperature despite having a turbulent night but seem to have a drippy cold today. Just wondered

Osteoarthritis and rhumathoid
Hi for over three years I have had both conditions been on lots of different meds which top my blood count or liver. I am now on hydroxycloriqyin mild side which they say prob won't help much but I can't tolerate anything else. They have discussed biological Enbrel but day it's to expensive to prescribe

Cold and in a lot of pain with the aching.
The last week has been awful with sitting in the house with the heating on and a fleeced jacket. Can't keep warm. The aching muscles and stiffness has got so much worse. My appetite isn't great either. Been to docs today as the naproxen not touching me at all. Been prescribed 15mg of codeine 4 times

Mixed Connective Tissue Disease?
Hello all, I saw my rheumatologist yesterday, he has said that my Lupus is mild and through experience, he thinks it should stay that way, he has prescribed me some Naproxen tablets and given me information on Hydroxychloroquine which I can have at my appointment with the nurses next month if I wish.
