Doctor's are saying "muscle stress"
Hi all I haven't been on for a while because I've been doing OK re thyroid (UAT) so I feel a bit cheeky popping in now but I'm desperate. In the early hours of 2nd Jan I woke up with a migraine, I get them occasionally and take sumitriptan. I took one but it took hours to work and when I got up I decided

Recently diagnosed
I was recently diagnosed with endometriosis after years of suffering with what I thought was normal pain. Had periods that could last over 2 weeks, be so heavy I'd bleed through a tampon an hour and the most excruciating cramps that sometimes caused me to faint or vomit and I'd always be doubled over

Excruciating period pains
Hi ladies, I’m at stage four with one ovary crushed now after my laparoscopy last March I haven’t had much pain however when I get my period it’s excruciating. I’ve tried tramadol, cocodamol, naproxen and none of them seem to help 😞😞 any suggestions what to try?

Painkillers - The cure all answer
4 months ago, i reported to my GP with 90% of the symptoms of PA. I had already done some online researching (as you do) and regardless of the diagnosis b12 supplementing seemed a good idea. So, I was taking some orally. I had blood tests done, which came back (conclusively apparently) to state that

Warfarin side effects
Hi all I'm having my first period for 3 months and it is heavy and painful. Prior to my AVR I was becoming irregular (no doubt due to age, 50 on Sunday) but never 13 weeks between. Now I do understand that the operation is probably the reason it's been so long in between but my question is whether

Hi, just signed up for this site. I was told some time ago I had polymyalgia and was prescribed prednisone, it helped but did not cure the problem. On returning to the doctor she diagnosed fibromyalgia and prescribed naproxen, this does help quite a bit, when I ran out of these I phoned for an appointment

Pain low down in pelvis on the left hand side
This might be long winded, so please bare with me! I’ll try and keep it as short as I can... I got diagnosed with endometriosis in March last year (2017) after a laparoscopy. My surgeon said it weren’t severe but there was enough. For a while, maybe 5/6 months or so, it seems to have settled down. My

Hospital in March
So I’ve got an appointment with consultant at the end of March . I normally just say yep I’m fine and go home. I’ve decided I’m going to stop that and do what’s best for me and be honest. I noticed with hydroxy it helped improved my tiredness so I could stay up an hour later than usual. I want to know

Methotrexate and mild shortness of breath
Hi all, I'm a newbie and took my first dose of MTX last Wednesday (15 mg oral). I'm also on folic acid and max doses of Naproxen and paracetamol. Last Thursday I noticed I was slightly short of breath on exertion and if I took a deep breath in.... called the hospital helpline and the nurse told me that

Hip and leg pain - help!
I'll start by giving a bit of a back story.... Since I can remember I've had pains in my legs and hips that mainly happens in the evening/ night time. I've had this pain every single night (also sometimes in the day) since I was a child and was told repeatedly by a doctor it was just "growing pains."
