Weight Problem
I suspect my husbands
Mycophenolate
for this as have read it causes stomach problems. He has just had an endoscopy and they found a stomach ulcer and other lesions and have taken biopsies. He is 3 1/2 yrs post transplant. He vomits if he eats a large meal and is so fed up.

Headache
As I have mentioned my medication was changed from 50 mg mercaptopurin per day to 2000 mg
mycophenolate
per day. Since starting this medication, I am most certainly not myself and this damn headache is getting me down. I wake up with it, and its still there at bedtime.

I have a rheumatologist appointment on 4th September and I’m thinking that
Mycophenolate
will be discussed as alternative Dmard. I did try Methotrexate in February this year but was not suitable for me. My gut feeling is to continue with Pred only. PMR since Jan 2018, GCA since December 2018.

Meds changed!
So I am back on 750 mg of
mycophenolate
twice a day and Tacrolimus 1 mg in the am and 2 in the evening. Hoping this stops the vomiting episodes! Also going to labs bi-weekly...Hoping to not have as many episodes of intense sweating! Trying not to feel so blah... and sometimes that’s a struggle?

Update on blood tests
Following on from my last post. Those of you who read my last post should remember that on the 25th July my alt was 34. Consultant started me on new tablet Mycophenolic acid (Ceptava) And didn’t follow up. I then somehow managed to get blood tests and it showed a rise in the Alt, from 34 to 79 in

I’m due to start
mycophenolate
next week due to continuous side effects of the methotrexate injections. Would love to hear your experiences. Was also wondering whether potential side effects happen straight away or if after a few days as need to prepare myself regarding work. Many thanks

I'm a bit concerned as my immune system is already low, due to methotrexate and
mycophenolate
. Does this drug make you more vulnerable? And how is it giving yourself the Injections?

I’m about to commence
Mycophenolate
as I need to get off oral steroids which I’ve been on for a year now. (Azathioprine did not agree with me). Does
Mycophenolate
reduce ulcers? - I’m wondering should I delay commencing the drug to try a get another opportunity for a biopsy.
