Hi if there are any of you taking this medication for AIH PBC overlap could you tell me if it caused pain in the liver....I never had pain that was present all day before starting this medication 2 weeks ago. They have me on prednisolone as well 20 mg now, and want to swap me to budesonide.
I am going to leave a message with consultant secretary tomorrow for him to give me a call if possible because I don't think this is right.
Thanks everyone xx

Hi, I was originally on prednisolone then swapped to budesonide. There were no side effects from the budesonide. The immunosuppressive drug I take is azathioprine, I've had no side effects from this either in fact my liver pain has decreased and the AIH is in remission. Hope you get some answers
I used to be on Mycophenolate along with Budesonide for AIH but after a MRCP I was told I didn't have it,veo taken off them. I had no problems or reactions while taking them.
Hello. I have been on Myfortic brand of Mycophenolate for over a year. I took it with Budesonide. My levels were still not in a good range so I was taken off the Budesonide and added Tacrolimus. I am now on Urso, Myfortic and Tacrolimus. I have a dull pain that can turn sharp if I press in a certain spot or two. I find it happens most often if I’ve eaten something off my regular healthy, low fat, no salt diet I saw your post was from 8 days ago. Did you get an explanation or change in meds from your doctor? All the best.
