I had a laparoscopy on Tuesday for endometriosis, everything looked fairly normal but I’ve been on zoladex for 5 months and had my last injection only a couple of days before surgery. I’m thinking that the zoladex and Mirena are going to make the endometriosis practically invisible? Is this correct? Does anyone know

Hi beth. It could be the case that the treatments are still actively working in your body and reducing the size of any lesions therfore making it difficult to see. Hope things improve for you x
I had a lap 7 weeks ago after Zoladex for 9 months (and I had a Mirena about 7 years ago but removed it to try and get pregnant 3 years ago).
I’m not sure anyone will be able to give you a definitive answer....everyone is different and everyone has different complexities, in theory yes as Mirena stops the bleeding and any endo has already been excised but I am 4 laps in since initial diagnosis and last year was diagnosed with stage 4+ endo which was a shock.
It might be the case that it works for you especially in the short term but best not to assume it will in the long term. Good luck with your recovery!
