Hi everyone, it's my first post here - hoping some of you can help!
I've been trying to manage my endo just using herbal remedies for the last six months, but I've decided that it's not working for me enough to continue. I have also modified my diet somewhat (by cutting out gluten, dairy and red meat as much as I can - around 80% of the time) but I just can't face being uber strict and doing it all the time, plus giving up sugar (inc. wine - which I only have a couple of glasses of a week). I know that diet can play such a huge part - but I'm just not in the headspace to be super strict at the moment. So I'm thinking of giving in and going for a contraceptive pill. (I have been putting off trying hormones again after a nightmare 6 months on the Mirena coil last year, but as my pains are getting worse each month I think it's now time to try something different.)
It would be great to here from anyone who has been really sensitive to Mirena and then found a pill that works for them. (I think I’m really sensitive to progesterone, so am thinking a low-oestrogen combined pill may be best for me.) Any ideas on which pills might be good to try?
Any help and advice would be really welcome – my endo pains are really getting me down at the moment so I’m keen to try something new asap. Thanks all! 🙏 xx
