Rushed into Hospital

Hi girls,

I’ve been rushed into hospital with extreme sweating, going hot and cold, being sick and in extreme agony in my pelvic area. It’s 4 days since I had my laparoscopy where they diagnosed stage 3 Endometriosis and painful bladder syndrome. I thought that would be the start of the end to my pain with Endometriosis but apparently not! I had the Endometriosis removed using ablation and excision. I had the mirena coil fitted too during my lap. Doctors suspects an infection or the mirena coil isn’t suiting me.

I’m still in so much pain and I really don’t know what to do anymore. I’m so fed up and I can’t stop feeling like I want to burst into tears. I know I’m in the best place possible and I’ve had all the painkillers I can possibly have. I’m also on an IV drip to keep my fluid levels up.

I just wondered if anyone else has had this sort of thing after a lap or any help or advice out there?! The pain is just as bad as endo pain!!! X

Hey I went back into hospital 1 day after my lap with the same kinda thing as you! Hot sweats and the pain the extreme. Turns out I had an infection from the op so they gave me a drip to speed up the antibiotics into my system and then sent me home with antibiotics. Sending all my love and hope this helps xx

Hey, thank you! I’m on a drip and I’ve had bloods taken so far just waiting. How are you feeling now? Hope you’re much better! Xx

You are in the best place! I’m in a lot of pain still, tried going for a short walk outside today but it only made me feel worse. Guess I realised how much energy I don’t have 🙁 can hardly sit up for long as the pain is so bad, the painkillers bomb me out for hours so most of the time I’m sleeping!

I’ve been the same, I’ve been sleeping more that I have been awake but now the pain is unbearable. It’s good that you tried though, they told me to try and get out and set myself targets when I was discharged but I’ve just had no energy. It really sucks xx

I had almost the exact same thing happen during recovery! Just your body trying to heal unfortunately :( especially if it was an extensive surgery it can be really hard to heal! I was feeling much better after 2 weeks.

I’ve been very sick not been able to keep any food down today so I’m on a drip. I’ve had a CT scan and blood tests to rule out any infections and internal bleeding and they’ve all come back clear so my consultant just things it’s my bodies way of healing and recovering as I had a lot done during my operation x

Yup same with me!! Splitting headache and vomiting non stop so had to go in. They though it was an infection but I was all clear too so they just gave me some meds for pain/nausea/headache and two litres of fluids. I was pretty good after that! Good luck xx

Thank you for your reply. I can’t have peppermint tea it just makes me more sick and I also get headaches from it too, so it’s rather frustrating! I haven’t stopped being sick, I’m on a drip still and can’t eat! Hopefully it’s my body getting used to the mirena coil. It’s been a very crazy week! Xx
