Mirena side effects

I’ve been experiencing headaches, funny vision, vertigo / sea sickness, and just generally feeling weird and spaced out.

I’ve had every test going and everything seems to be normal.

Is there any possibility this is all coming from my coil? Has anyone experienced similar?

Hi, I had coil last year. I had horrible side effects like unbearable headache 24/7, nausea, vertigo, pins and needles, blurred vision. I lived with those side effect for 3 full months it was awful! My gyno said it can’t be from coil! Went to neurologist, full spine MRI as he tough it could be MS but MRI was clear. I decided to remove the coil and within 1-2 weeks I was back to normal. Everyone is different, my is my experience.

Thank you!! This sounds exactly like how I feel! How long after you had the coil fitted did the symptoms start? Did they get worse or better as time went on?

I think they started within 4-5 days and got worst day by day. I know lots of women have coil for years and feel great but it wasn’t for me. As soon as I took it out I felt better so I know it was the coil causing my pain. My constant still thinks it was all in my head!

How soon after having it removed did things settle down?

I started feeling better within a week and within a month had no more side effects.
