Post laproscopy for endometriosis - mirena expelled after 1 month of surgery

Hi,

I had my second laproscopy for stage 3 endometriosis on 31st may. I also had the Mirena coil fitted during the operation. During the 2 weeks post op I bled continuosly and had severe pain so was taking diclofenac Sodium 75mg to help with the pain. I saw my doc for post surgery review and he advised to take cerazette along with the Mirena to help stop the periods. It's been about a week since I started taking cerazette and I'm having severe side effects like extreme water retention on my legs and severe pain especially on the left leg. I started bleeding really heavily like before the surgery on 1st and 2nd July ( not sure if its my actual period thoh as I'm due to start my period in 3 days)..and then today, a couple of hours ago actually, I found that my Mirena had expelled. I have bleeding non stop and heavily since then and I am really worried about that since I don't want the endo to grow back. Any advise please? Have anybody had their Mirena expell from their body after surgery or any issues? Thanks for your responses

You could phone 111 today, and GP and the doctor who did your surgery tomorrow, for advice / follow up.
