SIDE EFFECTS OF VITAMIN B12 INJECTIONS
I was not aware that cianocobalamin is not the only form of injectable B12So I have used sublingual strips of
methylcobalamin
. But this afternoon I decided to open the package and reviewed the instructions. They are very helpful for patients to understand and be prepared for side effects.

Scottish Parliament Petition PE01463: Hypothyroid/Adrenal. Sandra Whyte ( one of the three petitioners): Help with testing.
I now source for myself Readisorb
methylcobalamin
active B12 spray. What an incredible difference. Axis Shield (Dundee) are in negotiations at present to try and get their more efficient Active B12 test into the NHS.

ARE TOO HIGH LEVELS OF FOLATE INDICATION OF POSSIBLE PRE-CANCER?
It is overwhelming to have to deal with so many issues at once, just having started shots of B12 last week and taking sublingual
methylcobalamin
daily until next shot.

SHARING GOOD NEWS:
So, at health store got sublingual drops of
methylcobalamin
and also strips to use meantime. Noticed that the 15 drops (equivalent to 1,000mg) I take first thing in the morning are being absorbed: fatigue and muscular spasms are slowly receeding.

I am taking
Methylcobalamin

New here and would appreciate some advice re B12 please
I know I should have arranged more tests but to be honest I was really freaked out and started taking B12, Solgar sublingual Cobalamin to start with then I moved onto
Methylcobalamin
as I understood this was the one to use (naturally the most expensive and hardest to source!)

Oral B12 - with food or not?
We see people with relatively low B12 levels who seem to improve on high dose oral B12 (e.g. 1000 mcg
methylcobalamin
) - though some do get at least some shots. But when they try oral B12 there seems little guidance on whether to take it with food - or away from food. My thoughts are: o...

Supplimenting the 3 monthly PA injection which way is best?
Ive got the ampoules coming and last week started on a combination of all B vitamins from India via Canada so am interested in this Jarrows Methyl B12. I have just ordered the 5000 from Amazon, why is there one at 12.00 and an identical at 19.99 lol. If you are injecting how often? Who is finding these

Different types of B12 - which is best and why?
I would rather get it on prescription because at least I can be sure of what I'm getting, but also I thought that hydroxcobabalmin was the preferred type for injection - (and
methylcobalamin
for oral use) - and no dispensing chemist seems to offer that.

Why low B12 is associated with autoimmune thyroiditis
Typically oral supplementation with 1000 mcg
methylcobalamin
is used - with such a large dose you absorb it even without intrinsic factor. Testing for B12 is desirable (and fairly readily available) but, as so often, the reference range is often argued over.
