Help: PA test, hyperosmia & B12
I'm thinking I should just try
methylcobalamin
as a sublingual supplement - but I've been reading a low B12 can cause less sense of smell & since we moved house 3 years ago, I've become almost impossible to tolerate any artificial scents, woodsmoke, exhausts, petrol motors...

New Worries After Many OK Years -- What to Do?
Hi. I have been lucky in the US to get every injections of cyanocobalamine, 1000 mcg, after my PA dignosis and a bit of struggle with the doctors. This has been a satisfactory regimine for years. However, I am now older (retired from work) and have been having a recurrence of symptoms for the past

Changeover time:
I am intending to use Hydroxocobalamin for a few months, instead of
Methylcobalamin
. Do I need to have a time lapse between the change from one to the other. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

METHYLCOBALAMIN INFORMATION PLEASE
Has anyone out there used the dried version of
Methylcobalamin
to dissolve with 10 ml of saline. Every 0.5 of the preparation then contains 1mg of
Methylcobalamin
. How much is a normal dose of MeCbl? A normal dose of Hydroxocobalamin is 1mg. Is it the same for the Methyl?

High serum B12 reading
So I started taking
methylcobalamin
which I've taken now for 7 days. The shaking has stopped. However, my depression was worse before taking them so I had given in and started anti depressants also!

B12 supplies
I have been getting injectable
methylcobalamin
without prescription from a private source, but this supply has just dried up. As I'm about to run out, of course! I have been getting a 30ml bottle of 5mg/ml for about £45. Can anyone recommend an alternative source? Could you PM me please?

Vitamin help needed!
I've seen the word
methylcobalamin
come up a lot ... is that one I should be taking? Another thing that came back from my March blood tests was that my unsat iron binding capacity was 73.7 umol/L (45-70) "high" and my iron saturation was 17.4% (20-50) "low". What does this mean?

Had a number of B12 tests, should I take B12/supplements now, or get active b12 test?
182 ng/l (180-1000) and a few weeks later 202 ng/l Homocysteine: 9.9 mmol/l MMA: 0.25 umol/l Serum folate: 5ug/l Vitamin D: 44.5 nmol/L (it had dropped to 34.5, but have been now taking 6,000IU a day, so I think it’s increasing) Anti-Intrinsic factor: Negative I have bought some Jarrows 5,000mcg B12

Feeling worse after b12 injections
I'm torn because i don't know whether i should just keep going with the patches and sublingual
methylcobalamin
and deal with the side effects or just stop taking them for awhile since it's really difficult to work or do anything for the day or two after i take any b12.

Gosh: how important it is, to read the labels.
In our body it does get converted to,
Methylcobalamin
and Adenosylcobalamin, but leaving behind, the cyanide molecule. It won't kill me to take it, but I don,t want to put extra stress on my body,or liver.

Does anyone know anywhere in the UK you can go privately to get Methylcobalamin B-12?
I get there 1 B12 shot every 3 months but they are completely useless. GP's do nothing and have absolutely no clue what they are talking about so I am pretty much at the point of giving up with them it's like trying to get blood from a stone....

Does my Diabetes medicine have side effects?
I am a 50 year old man, suffering from diabetes from last 5 years. I am on continuous medication since then. My thyroid test show no abnormal results. My BMI is normal now. I am also affected by polio in both legs, due to which I suffer a condition of foot drop. My recent blood sugar level is 120-160
