Changeover time:

I am intending to use Hydroxocobalamin for a few months, instead of Methylcobalamin.

Do I need to have a time lapse between the change from one to the other.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I would think you can just do a straight switchover.

Thank you Shaws.

That appears to be ok. I was concerned because of there additional ingredients as well.

The only extra my Methyl has is sodium hydroxide, other than that they are the same.

I also had the flu shot about 3 weeks ago, and have been cautious now, about taking Hydroxo

( it arrived yesterday ) because of the effect on the methyl groups.

I have always refused the flu jab, but this year I had it, because of the nasty virus attack last winter.

I am in other words, concerned that I will be putting extra strain on my system taking Hydroxo at

the moment? What do you think.

Thank you for taking the time to answer.

Personally, I am like you, I would rather not take anything in case it triggers off some problem. I didn't take the 'flu jab. In my many years I have only had 'flu once - not serious but in bed for 3 days. So prefer not to get it.

With hydroxocobalamin - in the body it converts to methylcobalamin but some people definitely prefer it. I get the injections but do take B12 methyl tablets too as I have Pernicious anemia. B12 is actually a hormone rather than a vitamin so I don't think you have to worry.

Thank you Shaws, I won't succumb to the flu jab next year.

I also have never had the flu, had lots of colds over the years but no flu.

I thank you again, take care.

Hi Shaws,

I have given myself only half of the dose of hydroxo and will take the other half tonight.

I really regret having that flu jab, but I am sure it will be well and truly, in the back ground now, and will not cause me any issues.

Thank you for the link.

I have read a bit about Freddds B12 experience, but not the link you gave me.

Thank you again for taking the time to answer me.
