Everolimus and blood clots
So my dear ladies an update. Self injecting still and have a sore tummy…..any suggestions Sandra. No clots in the lungs thank goodness but I now have to go for a CT scan on my arm. The Doctor at the hospital is 99.9% sure that is where the clot is. There is all the signs. It could even be in a Lymph

Mastectomy wound
Hi ladies I had a left mastectomy in Jan 17, have had various treatments and have been on Cape for about 1 1/2 years but unfortunately it has stopped working and I am about to start Kadcyla IV. Recently a small wound has opened along line of my mastectomy scar, they have taken a biopsy as they think

To Begin with ADT or Not?
Recently diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer and
metastasis
in lymph nodes and cervical spine. No pain just urinary issues. ÁDT prescribed to begin immediately as apparently no other alternatives... ARE THERE REALLY NO OTHER ALTERNATIVES?

Ibrance not working? Update
Update following on from my previous post a few weeks back. Had MRI on Tuesday and got the call from my oncologist yesterday. There has been progression - the emphasis was ‘slight’ but none the less progression… I’m to remain on ibrance (yay…what I wanted) and zoladex but ditch the letrozole/Femara

I have posted a few times with ?'s in regards to my wife's treatment plan. A little background: she was diagnosed in June 26th of 2020 with HER2+ MBC to her lungs. She started out first 4 months of treatment on taxotere/herceptin and perjeta. This initial treatment eliminated everything but a small

Spiraling Advice
It seems now I have liver
metastasis
which were noted on a CT Scan and reflected in my blood work. So no more Taxotere. Tomorrow I have a MRI to focus on the abdomen and pelvis. I also have lymph node and bone mets which are more active. PSA has always been low but now at a high of 22.

Exemestane and Everolimus and my Sunflowers
The side affects are getting to me now. Itchy face and a rash on my chest bone. Palpitations and a chesty cough. True to form according to the leaflet I was given explaining the drugs. It will never stop me doing things. We walked 4 miles again yesterday along the River Mersey. Tired when I got back

ErSO Let's bombard Bayer with messages to start trials!
Hi Dear Ladies I am reposting the below from over on Inspire... I just wrote a short message to the CEO of Bayer, maybe we can all do the same... Obviously if this drug works the way it purported to in animal trials, they stand to make big $$ so I doubt they will delay...even so, a bit of polite nudging

What Would You Advise Please?
I have recently been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer Gleason 8 with
metastasis
in lymph nodes and cervical spinal column. I have been advised to begin: ADT ( GnRH Antagonist) in combination with Apalutamid or Enzalutamide or Abiraterone /Prednisolon or Docetaxel.

If future flucuclovine PET CT shows locally confined recurrent disease without distant
metastasis
, salvage radiation therapy may be beneficial and provide a chance for prolonged remission if not with curative intent. Any comments or thoughts on this plan are greatly appreciated.

When Is ADT Right for Biochemically Recurrent Prostate Cancer? Study suggest early initiation may not "meaningfully" improve survival
In a retrospective study, men with a prostate-specific antigen doubling time (PSADT) of less than 10 months saw a median metastases-free survival (MFS) of 192 months when they delayed ADT until
metastasis
, and a median overall survival (OS) of 204 months, reported Catherine Handy Marshall, MD, of Johns

Good News after 8 months on Ibrance 125, fulvestrant and Xgeva.
Hi everyone Good news everything stable after latest scan and also oncologist happy that my pleural tumour has shrunk. She is leaving me to Feb 2022 for next scan. Lucky I’ve had minimum of side effects and able to work and play full time lol. I do think changing my diet has helped me to feel a lot

Psychotic condition
I had MRI and Lombard punction- both negative, no brain
metastasis
. Scary. Really scary. Makes me smile now I'm out of this, but still scary. I completely lost my mind. But, I seem to be lucky once again, cause it all came back. I have been prescribed more drugs in small quantities....

Update on Spiraling Scans....
Platinum based chemo component will better treat my liver
metastasis
. Hopefully I can get the chemo at home with follow-through appointments and scans at Duke. That is if my home clinic will agree to the infusions.
