I got sepsis 9 months ago from a uti & have pss. It is debilitating with massive pain, can hardly walk, heart & bp all over the place, complete exhaustion that there are no words for plus so much more..losing hair, dry skin, etc..my wbc's were 27,700 so I know it did damage. Fibricheck App
I was wondering if anyone uses the Fibricheck app on their phone? Think it costs about £40 for the year. I think it helps me calm down when I get a palpitation as I am newly diagnosed and haven’t a clue what this is all about. I am taking Letroxole ( 10 year estrogen suppressor to stop Breast Cancer

Gel instead of tablets
Hello just started on the gel oestrogel instead of the tablets to thicken lining up . Only because I have a lactose intolerance so the tablets contain it . Anyone else used the gel ? Is it as good as the tablets to thicken linning ? Just seems weird to rub a gel on arms and it works the same? Last go

When does cycle return after miscarriage and surgical management? Whats day 1 of cycle?
I was somewhere between 5 and 7 weeks when the embryo started to fail. I stopped the progesterone and Estrogen last Thursday and had surgical management on Monday (though I started bleeding on Saturday and may have passed the sac then). I’m not sure what happens now. All the pregnancy tissue is gone

Help and advice regarding management of surgical menopause at 27 years old?
Hiya, I'm 27 years old, just been diagnosed with early stage uterine cancer and as it's estrogen positive, I will be unable to commence hormone replacement therapy after my hysterectomy (inc. uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes and removal of both ovaries). Any advice and help on how to mentally prepare

What do you think of these supraphysiologic testosterone theories?

HRT ASTHMA AND COPD - Can anyone advise?
Hi everyone, I begun taking a very low dose of estrogen which I took daily for 2 weeks and then continued on a dose of two times a week - well I haven't quite got that far! It has made me extremely breathless and wheezy. I have no obvious signs of a chest infection, but am not going to take it again

Suspect mast cell disorder - who to ask my GP to refer to?
Hi everyone, I joined health unlocked initially to discuss my recent vitamin B12 deficiency which is not being treated in accordance with the NICE guidelines but suspect it is associated with the varied health problems I have had over the last few years. I have the holy grail of a telephone appointment

HRT and general health hell
Hello, I am new here and hope this is the right forum to post in. I am 49, and in pretty bad health. I am on Levothyroxine (100mg a day) and have blood tests which come back "slightly borderline" but not enough to change the dose. Last year, I got what started as a cold which then turned into an infection

Estrogen receptor β regulates AKT activity through up-regulation of INPP4B and inhibits migration of prostate cancer cell line PC-3
What to make of this Patrick? estrogen patches ?? Dysregulation of PI3K/AKT/PTEN signaling is a common characteristic of prostate cancer (PCa). Loss of the tumor suppressor PTEN occurs frequently in PCa and leads to overactive AKT signaling. Complete loss of PTEN is associated with increased metastasis

Been to hormone specialist...not sure what to think?!
I am new here, but not new to thyroid problems. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos in 2001 after years of symptoms no doctor could explain: high blood pressure difficult to control even with medication, hair loss, high cholesterol, weight gain and fluid retention. Doctors suggested I was eating too much

How do hormones affect PD?
I understand it affects more women than men. How we differ from women; More testosterone, less estrogen. I think maybe 10 years ago there was a book titled, The Testosterone Syndrome. The upshot was cruciferous veggies helped keep these hormones in balance. Specifically DIM was the active

IVF drugs Synarel and Decapepty caused menopause -has this happened to you?
This happened to me. I was menstruating and ovulating and had no menopausal symptoms except irregular periods sometimes shorter or longer or sometimes 28 days. I took Synarel from cd21 for a down regulation cycle and got the menopause symptoms within days but had to change to decapeptyl due to severe
