Contraception to reduce endo
What contraception would you advise to reduce the chance of endo growing back? I can’t have oestrogen as my mum had breast cancer. I’m very susceptible to hormones and find they have my mood quite a lot. Don’t want to go on hormones again but have been told it’s the only way to reduce the chances of

Alarming blood results. Worried sick!
Hi I’ve just turned 47 and am on my sixth year of Merina Coil. I love it and haven’t had a period for 6 years now! Over the last few months I’ve felt quite anxious for no reason, had trouble sleeping and getting hot flashes on and off. None of my symptoms have been severe, but the sleeping was distressing

Timings of thyroid meds, calcium and HRT
Hi. I've had an appointment with my endocrinologist this morning, and he would like me to try taking my thyroxine at night (to see if it helps with sleep), which is actually what I did years ago before being told by a nutritionist I shouldn't. The trouble is, I now take HRT at night (progesterone tablets

Birth control and fatty liver
Is anyone on a hormonal birth control with a fatty liver? My dr wouldn't allow me to take an estrogen pill but suggested a mirena iud. However I have read contradictions on that so thought I'd see if anyone here had insight

6dp5d FET and counting myself out 😫
We had a five day FET last Tuesday 10/11/2020 and it seemed to go ok. It’s our fourth transfer (one fresh double, one FET double, one FET single). Our very first was a chemical and the others non-starters. I did all the others back to back but we took a break of six months before starting this one. The

Immune Anxiety Response
I'm becoming really frustrated with some strange symptoms I get from time to time. Please bear with me and if anyone out there gets anything similar, it would be a huge relief to hear from you. Just before coming down with a virus, I experience an increased heart rate and anxiety. I was out walking in

ERA/Alice feeling awful on the drugs!
Hi ladies, Hope you’re all well. I’m having the triple biopsy at the end of this month and currently having buserelin and started on the oestrogen tablets last Friday. I feel so headachy each day, sick and just generally rubbish!! Has anyone else had this too on the same protocol? Any tips on how to

Contraception as a treatment?
Does anyone use contraception as treatment for PCOS? I can’t take the pill because of migraines and being overweight. The mini pill is not great for me either. I take Medroxyprogesterone every 3 months to ensure I have a bleed. The tablets kill me emotionally. I get really bad days before, during and

Estrogen for natural pregnancy
Hey 👋 been a wee while since I last asked a question. My son is now two from a FET & I have a natural thin lining. We are now going to try for baby #2, and was thinking that my thin lining may stand in the way resulting in using another frozen embryo that I have in storage. Just a thought but has anyone

The Road Less Traveled

Womb rescanned
Hi Girls, I got my womb lining rescanned last night. Last Friday it was 5mm and in a week it’s went down to around 3mm 😢 Has this happens anyone else? The same thing happened in July. The gynaecologist who scanned me maybe thinks it’s a hormonal thing I’m not absorbing the prognova. I’m on estrogen

AGING AND RUNNING
When I was a child I ran for fun, because I could. As a teenager I was, like so many others, forced to run and it, unsurprisingly, was around about then that the magic of running disappeared from my life. Some things in life are inevitable and the alternatives to being an aging runner are either being

Using Testosterone to Treat Prostate Cancer
I found this report and I thought it will be a good idea to share it with all of my friends here: [[While it would have been unthinkable to give T to men with PCa not too many years ago, this is part of the cutting edge research currently in progress. An in vitro study showed that supraphysiological

Era/Alice biopsy
Hi ladies Hope you’re well. I’ve been taking buserelin since Sunday last week and I feel like I’m going to come on my period tomorrow (they said 10-14 days after I start so I’m a bit early). The clinic said to call on the 1st day of period (but they are closed tomorrow) as they will tell me when to

Info on clinical trial with "Oral Faslodex/Fulvestrant"?
Hi everyone, After 3.5 years of positive response on Ibrance/Letrozole, my wife has seen some progression--so yesterday, she began a new clinical trial (ACT16105) which is a Phase II trial of SAR439859, a Sanofi compound. From my (limited!) understanding, this is an attempt to develop an oral Selective

Supplements to alleviate Endo symptoms
I have suffered with endo all my life but as I approach the menopause it has steadily got worse. It has affected me quite badly but I decided to take back some control and find out how I can manage it better. Looking into acupuncture, diet and increasing exercise. Also been looking into supplements

Has anyone stopped the pill completely for less side effects but not TTC?
Hi all, I had a laparoscopy end of 2016 which removed 'superficial endo' although was definitely in need of the surgery due to the pain. I have tried what feels like every pill on the planet and not got on with any. I now cannot take any oestrogen pills e.g. combined due to getting bad migraines which
