Hi , looking for some advice

I went for a follow up scan to check my endometrial lining. My lining is currently 6.3mm

I am going back for another scan on Tuesday (3days) and I need my lining to be at least 7mm for the transfer to go ahead.

-my first cycle I had a fresh embryo transfer. My lining got to 7.2mm but a negative pregnancy test

-2nd cycle has got cancelled as my lining didn’t get past 6mm

-3rd cycle my cycle also got cancelled as it was 6.1mm then went down to 5.9mm 2 days after

I am currently taking : estrogen patches and they have increased my progynova to 4 tablets a day / suprecuer injections (0.2l) daily

(I am taking a number of vitamins / supplements incl l-arginine, vitamin d, vitamin e, folic acid, omega 3 and baby aspirin)

I also have weekly Accupuncture sessions and do daily moxa to increase blood flow. I have cut down on alchohol and haven’t drank for 3 months and also eliminated caffeine from my diet.

Can anyone give some advice please of what else I can do

I am going to try caster oil packs over my abdomen/uterus.. daily for the next few days to try and increase my lining

I am worried about having another cancelled cycle:( any help or suggestions would be really appreciated xx

Hey, so sorry to hear this - I have had 3 cycles cancelled so I know how you feel! Sounds like you’re doing all the right things - you could add raspberry leaf tea, about 3 cups a day, pomegranate juice and beetroot juice. Some people just don’t respond to artificial estrogen so it maybe worth asking if you can do a natural cycle, depending on what happens with this one. I had the best response on a natural cycle (with the exception of my fresh cycle). Personally I would stay away from caster oil packs and just use a hot water bottle. A fertility nurse who I’ve had support from said they can break down the lining which you’re looking to build up. I’m sure others have used them and been fine but personally I’d be cautious, obviously your decision. Good luck xx

Probably an old wives tale but I've heard warm feet helps? Certainly worth a try. Good luck lovely x

Hi Kim, sorry to hear of your struggles with your lining. I've also had issues with my lining ever since having a myomectomy 7yrs ago which resulted in adhesions. I've had many surgeries to correct this and struggled to reach the magic 8mm but did achieve a pregnancy on a lining of 7.6mm but sadly ended in a miscarriage. I'm currently going through a FET and transfer is tomorrow. Had a lining scan just before starting progesterone and achieved 8.3mm - my best to date!! I have tried everything to get my lining to a decent measurement. On this cycle I did have a hysteroscopy and had PRP infusions for the 1st time . My meds for this cycle were 16mg progynova, 800mg utrogestan, 100mg viagra. I also took folic acid, vit D and aspirin, pomegranate juice, beetroot juice and nuts. I decided not to do castor oil packs this time as a bit dubious. Tried acupuncture last year but due to covid found it difficult to attend appointments so instead of that I would stick my legs up the wall to get the blood flowing to the uterus. Wishing you the very best of luck on this cycle xx

Hi! Like u I am a also a thin liner! I am currently in my 2ww for a frozen cycle but my consultant accepted that getting above 6mm for me was fine- in July he allowed a fresh transfer at 6.8mm and I got a BfP (unfortunately it ended in a chemical pregnancy). This time I took vitamin E, did yoga yin on you tube for thin lining and drank lots of pomegranate juice and avacado. He also put me on menopur injections to help me produce endogenous estrogen to thicken my lining (my frozen transfer in April I was on estrogen tablets and progesterone pessaries and only for to 5.6mm and like you wen to 5.1mm after 2 days so was regressing but I pushed for transfer- BFN). This time I don’t know how I got to 8.8mm roughly! Which is insane for me. Who know if it has worked but it’s all about optimising our chances - try the juice and the yoga? Hope it work xxx
