Fibricheck App

I was wondering if anyone uses the Fibricheck app on their phone? Think it costs about £40 for the year. I think it helps me calm down when I get a palpitation as I am newly diagnosed and haven’t a clue what this is all about. I am taking Letroxole ( 10 year estrogen suppressor to stop Breast Cancer returning which has led to TIA type issues and been put on Apixaban, Soltalol and Lipitor. All this has been done during Covid therefore mostly over the phone. My questions are - should i ask to see a Cardiologist /EP? Does Paf -Fib, become worse or do you learn to live with it? This site is very helpful, I feel confused and full of questions! I’m 62

I can't say I've heard of the app before Helen. However the Karda might cost a little more but save you money in the long term. The readings are pretty 'on the ball' too.

To answer your question about learning to live with afib ? For sure you do - and yes - ask to be referred to a cardio. You have every right to ask your GP to refer you.

Good luck.

Nice one Helen. Please don't worry to much but ask for a referral. Don't panic and relax - I'm sure everything will be fine.

Have a lovely evening.

I would book a private appointment with a cardiologist if possible (about £250) as seeing somebody promptly for a few minutes longer can make a lot of difference to anxiety levels in the early days.
