What success have people had with Dr. P, or Chinese herbal medicine for thyroid and adrenal disorders?
My thyroid tests are normal and I have had a ME/CFS diagnosis for ten years.

PBC?
I recently (Feb 22, 2013) tested positive for AMA, 52.7 on a value scale of 0.00-0.20.0 units. My primary physician said it was signs of PBC, he did a liver panel and everything came back normal (TP: 7.7; ALB 4.5, ALP 69, AST 31, ALT 38, TBIL 0.6, DBIL 0.1, IBIL 0.5). He thought that I still had PBC

Accupuncture and herbs
I had another great accupuncture today and feeling good tonight after one of the worst few weeks. Today he has given me herbal medicine which should help with the inflammation and pain and hoping I can reduce the codeine as makes me so woozy when I'm trying to work. I was just wondering if anyone else

Does anyone have any experience of steroids causing systemic fungal infections?
I saw dermatology yesterday (I see both rheumy and dermatology as I also have vasculitis) and they say that I have a full blown systemic fungal infection. I had a fungal infection last year which was treated with cream and anti-fungal meds but they dont know why it didnt clear it up and it has now spread

Alternative Therapy.
(Or, as some prefer, Complementary Therapy). But 'Alternative' is what is says. An alternative to orthodox medicine. 'Complementary' means to complement orthodox medicine. One has to make a personal choice. Those who know about this can look away, but having run an Alternative Therapy clinic for some

My symptoms match that of having the Aspergillus fungus
From the research I have done, the suggested treatment calls for the use of an anti-fungal (Sporanox) and a steroid. Which steroid do you recommend and how long should it be taken? My coughing is extremely bad when I laydown to sleep. Every couple of hours I wake up coughing so bad because of an extreme

Is it possible to get over anxiety without medication or with herbal medicine such as St John's Wort?
I am suffering from anxiety after changing jobs abou 7 months ago. I had been in my old job 9 years and although I was bored was very settled. This is quite different although it's tme same field and I use the same skills. I got stressed because my boss went through a stressful period herself and was

Birth Control and Behcets
I just wanted to share this with the ladies of the group. As I am newly diagnosed I have been devoting a lot of my time to reading and researching everything I can get my hands on. After reading that there is a correlation between the Pill and inflammation as well as auto-immune disorders, I stopped
