Well; that was eye watering!
I have been given ankle flexibility exercises and some
massage
ball work on the calf as homework. So, day off tomorrow and then back to 5k on Thursday and build up from there; I hope. Physio asked me to check in by e.mail in two weeks from now just to let him know how things are going.

Self accupressure massage stomach and head
Hi all, regarding the above subject, I have already posted my query on the Well being site, and have been advised to also post it on this site. Over the past two weeks or so I have been massaging accupressure points on my stomach and head, at a mild to moderate pressure. I usually consult my GP and

Vodder or Leduc - which is best?
I have always had Vodder treatment previously, with an hour's
massage
starting at the neck. When I saw my new therapist yesterday she said she followed the Leduc method as it's better supported by the evidence.

Post Prostatectomy: things other than cancer
Knowing that getting the blood moving through the penis is the best you can do while waiting for the nerves to awaken, I'm taking 5mg daily of Tadalafil, and was giving it a good
massage
a couple of times a day. It would come out of its shell a little bit, but never harden.

Self stomach and head accupressure massages.
For the last two weeks or so I have been doing self, administered head and stomach
massage
, with long deep breaths, and using accupressure points. The pressure is mild to moderate, and I feel the benefit, so far. However I am concerned that perhaps it may not be the thing to do, as a CLL sufferer.

Neck and shoulder
I’ve tried warmth; cold;
massage
, over the counter pain patches, Tylenol etc... I cannot get rid of it and it’s making me crazy. It’s like waking up with a creak in your neck that radiates out. Any suggestions? I already take a muscle relaxer at night. I need some sort of relief.

Nerve pain & Arthritis
I thought maybe I’d overdone it with exercise however it’s been very persistent and painful (especially the sciatic pain) even with
massage
treatment, heat and ice.

Integrative Medicine for MPNs
I have experienced some very clear benefits regarding quality of life from some of the complimentary health interventions such as Curcumin, diet, nutrition,
massage
, and QI Gong. It is nice to see some data to support the benefits I have experienced.

Lymphatic drainage machines
There are many such machines on Amazon that claim to work as
massage
/press for this condition (leg for me) but they also mention other conditions, including weight loss and other problems and seem more like a cosmetic product. At c. £4-500 I am reluctant to try one out.

Off topic: "Are Women the Fitter Sex?".
The previous programme (BBC 1) The truth about Boosting your Immune System, was also useful albeit confirming the usual suspects - diet, exercise, alcohol, fibre, stress, fast food,
massage
, etc but still a very timely reminder.

W2: IC - sore shins, shin splints?? 😩😩
Some gentle but firm
massage
(seriously ouch!) and frozen peas on each shin for 20mins each evening. I think the running on concrete/pavements and road has taken its toll and this is pay back. To top it off, my usual knee niggle is back and feeling cranky 😠A bit like me!

Injury or in need of a massage?
Before I start, I probably already know the answer to this. Even as I write, I know what I would write as a reply so consider this a vent and feel free to move on to he next post. I'm not a stranger to running but I'd not run for years. I did C25K and, by the end of the excellent program, I was happy
