I was starting to feel a little better, then........
Following the advice given in reply to my first email 3 months ago and using all the knowledge I have learnt from the questions and answers in the blog, I spoke to my GP and she agreed that I should increase my Levo from 75mcg to 100mcg. She also suggested that I should try Magnesium in the evening

Test results - can anyone help?
Hi all, Can anyone help interpret my test results and advise on whether I need to work on any of my vitamin levels. Would also be grateful for any advise on thyroid meds so I know what to push for at endo appointment. Results from March (on no medication): Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) 1.930 mIU

Bad RLS.
Hi all, I've been hovering around these boards for a couple of years now but this is my first post. I am a 39 year old male. As a child and adult sometimes after walking a lot during the day I would have the urge to move my legs when I was in bed trying to sleep, it would feel like I had excess

Persistent UTI's, appears only with sexual activity without protection
History of urinary tract infection I have had this infection for 3 years, Escherichia coli always comes out in the urine culture, except for one time when Proteus came out. For treatment I have used ciprofloxacin, amikacin, nitrofurantoin, levofloxacin (but there was resistance to it), Amoxicillin

Insomnia, mirtazapine, promethazine (& tinnitus)
A reaction to sertraline, prescribed for an anxiety condition, caused me to develop insomnia. To counter that I was prescribed low dose mirtazapine instead. Starting at 15mg that I eventually tapered to 7.5mg. It worked fine and I used it for about 3 and half years. Some of that alongside promethazine

Have been feeling achey and elbow pains started up again, decided to try the magnesium tablets I bought a while ago (just cheap and cheerful ones from the supermarket), went with half a tablet to see how it would affect me and O.M.G!! I slept like a log! Usually I toss and turn with various aches and

Introduced T3, feeling exhausted & gaining weight
Hello there, I've been introducing T3 slowly since Feb 24 - started 5mcg for 6 weeks then up to 7.5mcg and now 10 mcg per day. Also taking levo - started at 137.5mcg, then when I introduced T3 (and T4 went down), endo increased levo to 150, and then 6 weeks later T4 still too low, increased levo to

Least I find it so. Current Trial; 1.5mg methylcobalamin 3mg/ml, 1.5mg adenosylcobalamin 3mg/ml, 1.5mg hydroxocobalamin 3mg/ml. SC injection 4-5 times a day including setting an alarm to inject at night if warrented. 50 mg B6 in the form of P-5-P three times a day or pain from peripheral neuropathy

is this subclinical hypothyroidism?
Hi, Any guidance would be much appreciated please… this is all new to me. I managed to persuade my GP that I have symptoms of hashimotos and to humour me a TSH test , T4 /T3 and anti TPO blood test was done. However the bloods were done at 10:30am, I’ve been having biotin in my multi vitamin and drank

magnesium
I have been taking vit D and K2 for a while now and have been told that I should be taking magnesium to help with the absorption , only not sure which one to take, there’s so many . A friend has recommended magnesium bisglycinate , which I’ve not heard of. Also I’ve read that taking magnesium can interfere

I asked for full blood count and iron panel, do these tests align with that request? I asked that B12 be excluded as I SI EOD. I take a magnesium supplement at 300mg,

Can anyone comment on my daughter's blood tests and advise what - if anything - we should do next?
My daughter is 18. I first requested blood tests with the GP when she was 15. This was during covid. I had to fight over the phone for them but she'd put on weight rapidly, she especially looked to be retaining fluid in her legs, feet, hands and face. Other symptoms = tiredness, slow movements, dry eyes
