Magnesium…

Have been feeling achey and elbow pains started up again, decided to try the magnesium tablets I bought a while ago (just cheap and cheerful ones from the supermarket), went with half a tablet to see how it would affect me and O.M.G!! I slept like a log! Usually I toss and turn with various aches and pains or feeling a bit hot then a bit too cold or my mind going in around circles. I was totally relaxed!! It seemed to act like a sleeping tablet. Woke up slowly this morning and felt lovely and comfortable and relaxed - like I’d been glued to the mattress. No pain. Had a really, really good day today! Have been for lunch and out and about for about three hours. Maybe the increased levo dose is kicking up a gear now too (just over 6 weeks). Is it usual for magnesium to act so quickly like this?? Maybe it’s just a “good day”.

I didn’t have a ‘eureka’ moment with magnesium, but I do notice if I don’t take it and I’m finding it hard to unwind/sleep.

Hope it keeps working for you JJLC! 👍

Hehe! It was definitely a eureka moment…dormouse style! I dunno if it was the magnesium or just a coincidence. I’ll carry on with it and see how it goes.

I take glycinate as (for me) it’s gentle on the stomach

Thanks. I’ve see that form of mg crop up a few times, seems quite popular. I think I might get that next time.

Here’s my magnesium post - helped me sort out dosing guidance and which type to choose.

Excellent! Thank you, FiR! Will have a proper read through now. I’m going to carry on with daily magnesium, taken before bed. I can’t believe it acted so quickly after just half a tablet…seems a bit quick to me, but I definitely had an amazing sleep and was really relaxed before I went to bed.
