Hello there,
I've been introducing T3 slowly since Feb 24 - started 5mcg for 6 weeks then up to 7.5mcg and now 10 mcg per day. Also taking levo - started at 137.5mcg, then when I introduced T3 (and T4 went down), endo increased levo to 150, and then 6 weeks later T4 still too low, increased levo to 150 M-F and 175 at weekends. I am to return in 4 months to let levels settle.
I take 7000 Vit D3 w K2, Thorne Basic B, Thorne Magnesium Citramate 300mg / day. Gluten free. Due to check vitamin levels in 2 weeks.
Last blood tests were taken May 15th - levo 24hrs before, 1/2 dose T3 4 hrs before (compromise suggested on here). I sought advice here then and was advised endo's prescription seemed fine.
On the back of these blood test results attached, I was put up from 5mcg to 10 mcg T3 and from 150 levo to 150 M-F and 175 weekends.
I am 4 weeks in and feel like a slug. Feel as hypo as when first diagnosed in 2010. Exhausted, gaining weight, daily urge to nap in afternoons/eves. Mainlining sugar to stay awake when nap is not possible.
I was planning to stick it out until the 6 week mark (2 more weeks) and go get my own blood tests done and take it from there.
I wondered if you'd agree with this plan? It's getting tricky.
I also wondered if this can be normal and my body might yet wake up to T3 and all will start getting better - is it possible my T3 receptors are just dormant?!
