Blood test for following do I need to stop taking supplements

Hi All

I an due a blood test Thursday morning at 8am and I am getting tested for the following

FULL IRON PANEL

ZINC

SELERIUM

T3

CORTISOL

MAGNESIUM AND CHOLESTEROL (TRYIN TO GET THIS ADDED ON) IF THE NURSE WILL ALLOW.

I am takikg the follow supplements.

Vit c effervescent 1200mg

Vit D with K2 3000iug

B12 SPRAY 12000.

I am due to start taking iron supplements but have waited until after my blood test.

I also have kefier which has added b12 and bran flakes with has vitamins and minerals. Should I also stop this.

hi tinkerbell, I would suggest you don’t eat, drink (except water) or take any medications before your test, since these things can affect the results, also don’t take any biotin 2 days before the test (this is a B vitamin which you can find in multivitamins), and don’t eat anything rich in iron 24 hours before your test, since this can falsely raise your iron serum in the panel test, hope this helps.
