Blood test results regarding magnesium - thank you everyone for advice
He said any
magnesium
supplement can be bought such as
magnesium
sulphate
or citrate. I’m not sure which one to get 🤔 Oh, we also found out that mums B12 is low so she’s going to have 4 weekly injections to boost that, and he suggested she have a top up of B12 every 3 months.

Thrush 3 days before FET
Hi everyone, I am booked for a natural FET on Monday (I didn't take anything this cycle, not even progesterone) and the Friday before I discovered that my discharge looked like cottage cheese and I may be getting thrush. Which I haven't had in years! Has this happened to anyone else before their FET

Update on my last visit and tests - Hyperthyroidism and Graves
Hi all, Just a quick update on how I’m getting on and a quick background of my story . I went to the doctors due to having premenopausal symptoms in July 2023 and it transpired that my thyroid was at fault. I then had regular blood tests which showed the thyroid to be on the higher range bracket but

What to do next
As in my previous post, I took Gabapentin 5 nights and I feel shakey and my nerves raw. How can I get this crap out of my body faster? I tried an Epsom salts bath but doesn't feel much better if any. Also I am terrified in what to take for sleep and pain tonight. My doctor prescribed tramodol but it

How to improve your blood pressure
Taking regular epsom salts baths which is the
sulphate
form of
magnesium
, is another nourishing way of getting this mineral, nature’s relaxant, in. Look to getting good night’s sleep. This might mean some re-education around patterns. Keep tech out of the bedroom, including mobile phone.

How to nurture bone health
*Take regular epsom salts baths - epsom salts are a
sulphate
form of
magnesium
. The nutrient is transdermally absorbed. Soak in the bath for at least 10 minutes before using soaps etc. A good generous 2-3 mugs into the bath. Buying in bulk online is a more affordable option.

Heavy legs and breathlessness
My legs feel heavy and stiffen up very quickly if I walk on any hard surface like pavements or even supermarket floors for more than a few minutes. It's particularly bad going up any incline, however slight. I literally feel as if I am having to drag my legs and the effort makes me really breathless.

Your thoughts please?
Good morning one and all… It’s been a good long while since I’ve posted, so apologies for this mega volume of a message… I’ve been on Gabapentin for a good long while now… started off on 900mg now on 1200mg, but it’s no longer working effectively. Not keen to increase as I got bruising to my arms when

Hi all, So i've been under private thyroid care for just over and year and a half. I was on 75mcg a day from about 18 years old to 42 years old, had bloods checked and all 'in range' but I didn't feel good. Tired a lot and sluggish and constipation, cold sensitiveness. After changing to private,

Running low on iron
I have been put on Ferrous Sulphate but I can’t use it. My blood test for ferritin is 44 ug/L & it is only that high because I ate red meat I did do in desperation because the test last year was 10ug/L. I am vegetarian & I have great difficulty eating meat it seems to be hard to process for me. Anyhow

Heme vs Non-Heme Iron Supplements
Since being diagnosed with low ferritin three months ago, I've been on ferrous sulfate tablets (1 - 65mg along with 500 mg vitamin C twice a day with meals). It's been working fine (went from 11 to 45 in a month) without any side effects. However, early on, I purchased a bottle of Three Arrows Heme after

Magnesium
Hi just wondered if anyone has taken ferrous
sulphate
at the same time as
magnesium
? I was finding magnesium helped my migraines, but now the doctors put me on ferrous sulphate for anaemia and I've been told, you can't take both, as they stop each others affectiveness.

Advice needed on iron/ferritin levels please
I'd be really grateful if anyone could advise on whether I need to be concerned about my iron/ferritin levels. I'm seeing a neurologist tomorrow and want to be well informed. I have results from my last three blood tests so hopefully that might help. Serum iron level: October 2023 - 7.7 umol/L; January

High platelet count due to iron deficiency anaemia maybe?
Just again when I thought all was going well ! High platelet count from recent blood test shows Platelet count 515 10*9/L Platelet count has been abnormal for some time, but never this high. Not sure whether I should request the ferrous sulphate again, OR could it be PMR flare. I have felt pretty
