Unsure on decision to have a hysterectomy
Hi everyone. I’m feeling really confused and would very much appreciate some advice. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis last year whilst undergoing a lap to remove my tubes and ovaries. This was for suspected ovarian cancer which thankfully it wasn’t. My Endo was diagnosed at that time From this I

Meeting with Radiation Oncologist to discuss treatments after persistent cancer after Radical Prostatectomy (RP) with PSA of 0.8 - Gleason 7
I had my meeting with my Radiation Oncologist (RO) to discuss my treatment plan now since I had the recurrence cancer after surgery with PSA 0.8. He had me meet him in his examining room, instead of his office so he could sit next to me and my wife. I thought that was unusual because I even asked if

Can Endometriosis come back after ovary removal
Good afternoon hope everyone is reasonably pain free. I had a bso in 2010 and have always had phantom period type pains since the operation. Just recently I have had bleeding with sex and the usual pain which feels like being internally examined from the front and back along with the twisting of insides

After surgery and now PSA 0.8 - what's next?
I am 61 years old, married for 2nd time for 21 years to a special woman who gave me 2 wonderful kids, now 17 & 19, and an adopted son from my first marriage who is now 33 and living with his girlfriend. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in April 2018. I had been seeing my PSA numbers slowing rising

Hot flashes vs b symptom
I am wondering how easy it is for a postmenopausal female to distinguish between hot flashes/night sweats and CLL b symptom night sweats? I had surgical menopause in my late 30’s and at 64 still have a night swat about 1/week. I think it it is of menopausal type, but then got to wondering. I could always

Ovary removal
Hi I had cervical cancer 10 years ago and kept my ovaries. Next week I’m getting one out as it’s attached to bowel and I get cysts on it..about 6 a year. I had a cyst removed 7 years ago and remember the pain being just as bad as the radical hysterectomy. Anyone had ovary removed recently? Just wondering

2 weeks post Lap - return to work
Morning All, I am due back to work tomorrow and am debating whether to go or not. I had my 3rd lap on 12th October and they ended up doing a polypectomy, cystoscopy, hysteroscopy. I has stage 3 endo rediagnosed so to speak and also pelvic congestion. Since August I have had severe chest pain every time

And back to plan B?
After deciding on Saturday that I would do my polypectomy in Greece rather than on the NHS, I have just received a reply from my clinic stating they can do the operation only on weekdays, not on Saturday, which is what they originally told me. This means I can't do it after all, not until March or April

Confusing journey of borderline cancer
Hello, I’ve signed up here to find women who are in a similar journey as I am. I quit my job in November 2017 due to overwhelming stress. Just four days after my last day of work, I went to see my GP to consult about my worrisome period in October (as I never had the chance to consult about it). My

W7R2 abandoned 😔
Got up and out and did my warm up walk with a nightly pain in my left ankle but then when I started to run it was too painful to carry on. It’s been a bit sore since I walked thirteen or so miles on Wednesday with my daughter in her pushchair. Looks like a few days rest for me, which actually probably

Frustrated!
So 5 months after my av node ablation and pacemaker fitted I’d just managed to get fit enough to walk up and down gentle hills feeling really good. Best I had In 10 years. Then 3 weeks ago I slipped in the rain onto some tiles broke my pelvis and chipped my humerus. I am just getting around now slowly

polypectomy: Doctor, clip it right away, please!
Hello! I had my colonoscopy yesterday. I have been dreading it for such a long time, but a friend who survived colon cancer urged me to have it. It was not half as bad as I imagined. I went home quite happy to have done the colonoscopy - the doctor saw 2 polyps and snipped them off for biopsy.

Pacemaker and Mammogram
I had a pacemaker fitted last year and AV node ablation in May. I have just had a reminder that I am due for a mammogram. I mentioned to my GP that I was concerned it or the wires may get damaged, as I’ve had the AV node ablated, I didn’t like the prospect of something going wrong. She didn’t seem to

AV node ablation
Just heard that when you have the node ablation they do not totally destroy the av node but leave it capable of some function. Is this true ?.
