Can Endometriosis come back after ovary removal

Good afternoon hope everyone is reasonably pain free.

I had a bso in 2010 and have always had phantom period type pains since the operation. Just recently I have had bleeding with sex and the usual pain which feels like being internally examined from the front and back along with the twisting of insides and a constant need for the toilet

Can endometriosis come back after a bilateral salpingo oopherectomy?

Any help would be greatfully appreciated

Unfortunately it can though think it's something like a 10% chance. Could be adhesions or something else but worth getting it checked out.

Unfortunately yes, medical studies indicate between 10 – 50% of women will have it reoccur after surgical treatment, depending on the type of endometriosis and the type of surgery that was done. However, there’s always the change it will return after surgery (one of the evils of endo).

Could be scar tissue that's causing the pain. I had similar and it lasted for a long time (over a year...)
