Well thought I would pop on and let you all know how I am doing after having the pacemaker fitted in September and AV node ablation 4 wks later . I’m feeling so much better , only on apixiban now , I have been building my walking up to 6 or 7 miles a day with no problems , the scar is still very tender

I am pacemaker dependant having had an av node ablation. Having given up all alcohol, which I used to really enjoy I have very infrequent episodes of AF. I have replaced my Gin and Tonic with a non alcoholic spirit and sugar free tonic. However, I have just heard that I should not be having tonic

Hiya, I'm 27 years old, just been diagnosed with early stage uterine cancer and as it's estrogen positive, I will be unable to commence hormone replacement therapy after my hysterectomy (inc. uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes and removal of both ovaries). I have had a total hysterectomy including ovary removal can it come back?
So February this year I had a major operation to remove everything ovaries, womb the lot. Plus bowel surgery. I had a stoma until August and I have recently had an operation to reverse it back. Just the other day I noticed I had similar symptoms to when I had endometriosis. I’m very scared that it’s

Slight Irregular heartbeat
After av node ablation and pacemaker, I still have a slightly irregular heart beat at times. Does that mean my ventricles are still working a little on their own? It may be PVC's.

My understanding after reading the NICE guidelines, is that you can have heart failure with a perfectly ok ejection fraction. If that is the case then surely the BNP test is a crucial part of the jigsaw. Why is heart

Why do some people develop HF after av node ablation and pacemaker and some don't. They say about 40% do.
Hi, I am new. I had an av node ablation and pacemaker two months ago and feel really good. I was not informed of the possibility of developing AF at the time or about the biventricular pacemaker which I did not get. What determines why some people get it and some do not. How does the EP determine
